Video: Lionel Messi arrives in the country

Lionel Messi and his FC Barcelona teammates have arrived in the country. This was for the much anticipated Nelson Mandela Centenary Cup against Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium yesterday.

Following a delay in their flights, the team made their landing at 8am instead of the expected time of 6am.

Loud cheers could be heard as manager Ernesto Valverde led stars such as Lionel Messi‚ Gerard Piqué‚ Iniesta‚ Luis Suárez‚ Jordi Alba‚ Philippe Coutinho‚ Ousmane Dembélé and goalkeeper Ter Stegen through the terminals.

They did not speak to the media but made their way into the bus. Messi and his team players later made their way to the scene of Spain’s World Cup triumph in 2010.
