“Three generations,” she therefore captioned the beautiful photo, followed by the hashtags “thankful” and “motherly love.”

Minki’s daughter Elsa, is thus named after her grandmother, Elsa van der Wetshuizen.

She took to Instagram to share moments from the special event, even captioning one of the posts: “Elsa, you belong to God.”

Minki also thanked her mother for making the beautiful christening gown.

Minki van der Westhuizen welcomed her baby girl last month. She let us in into her baby Elsa’s beautiful nursery.

The room is a soft pink with hints of light green. Next to the crib, there is a floral mural and a bookshelf.

Significance

Just like her older sisters, the latest addition to the family, Elsa, who was born in March, 2018, was also named after her grandmother.

It is even more significant because her grandmother had three sons and had never had anyone named after her.

Minki remembered how special and precious it was when Elsa (86) met little Elsa.

News of the birth of their third child, a baby girl, was announced by Minki on Instagram on Sunday morning. She wrote: “Welcome our lovely little angel. Born on 16 March 2018, 3.5kg.”

She added that they are in love and thankful.

The couple have two older daughters, Elise and Katerein Joubert.
