New Netflix series to feature Pallance Dladla & Amanda du-Pont set to launch

On Monday, Netflix announced that a new local series will be launching on the 8th of March.

The series is titled Shadow, and is starring Pallance Dladla and Amanda du-Pont.

Pallance takes the role of Shadow while Amanda plays Ashley.

The story follows detective and former task force specialist, Shadrach ‘Shadow’ Khumalo, who after the brutal murder of a young girl decides to become a fixer for people who, like him, have been failed by the criminal justice system.

With the help of his former partner, Shadow thus cuts a swathe through the city’s underworld taking full advantage of a rare condition that affects his central nervous system: he is impervious to physical pain.

Pallance Dlaldla talks on ‘Isibaya’ future

Popular actor Pallance Dladla is hinting at taking a break from shooting Isibaya, a few months after his return.

He wants to shoot other projects.

Depending on his work load, he says he could come and go. He plays the role of Jabulani Zungu.

“When it comes to Isibaya, I have always approached my career where I do more than one project. That is for my creative growth that I work with different people on different productions. It is just a matter of scheduling. Like this year, I was not on Isibaya until August because I was shooting something else,” he said.

Pallance went on to explain that he was still a cast member of Isibaya, despite the breaks he took from filming.

“I am still there. I am still on Isibaya but it is the whole coming and going situation because of scheduling. I love different mediums and Isibaya is a soapie medium. There are other projects lined up so it’s just organizing my schedule at the moment and making sure there is no clashes. I will be coming in and out but we are still a family.”
