Thando Thabethe took to Instagram to write her late father a letter. He would have turned 56, and she still misses him.
“Daddy would have been 56 today . . . I wish you were here to see the woman I have grown into. I have no doubt that you look over and have been very instrumental in my life here on earth. Thando Thabethe is finally about to bare it all in her new show. She will be gracing our screens from 2nd June.
Her show is called Thando Bares All, and will be co-hosted by TLC Next Great Presenter winner, Carissa Cupido.
Thando’s show is all about encouraging people to be open and honest about the things that society might be afraid or embarrassed to speak about. It will focus on all angles from body positivity, outrageous style, naked attraction, polygamy and super-human achievement. Thando Thabethe has decided to give away a couple of dresses that she has previously rocked on the red carpet. And the only thing her fans have to do to get their hands on one is pay it forward by uplifting another young woman.
“After an award show, I get an influx of msgs from young ladies needing assistance with a / dance dress… and in the spirit of helping one another… these 3 of 6 are up for grabs BUT you need to let me know how you have/will uplift another young lady in the next 14 days,” Thando tweeted, sharing a snap of the three dresses she will be giving away.
“You must have THEM vouch for you. This doesn’t have to be monetary, it can be giving a grade 11 student extra lessons, donating old text books, helping with house chores… anything that is in the spirit of uplifting one another!!!”

Thando Thabethe and her bae, Frans Mashao celebrated their engagement with friends and family surrounded by love.
The couple got engaged last year and from the pics of the engagement party its safe to say they are still head over heels with each other.
Thando gave an emotional speech during the party.
“I think for the first time tonight it actually sunk in that we’re getting married. I’m also very emotional and that’s why I try so hard not to talk for too long because I end up crying, which I don’t want to do…” she said before taking a moment to compose herself.
Thando said she couldn’t imagine her life without Frans, who she said was her biggest supporter. Frans thanked Thando for loving him and went on to tell their friends how much he loved her.
“I think she said everything. You know how women always say, ‘I don’t like to speak but end up speaking’… it’s crazy. Thank you for loving me,” he said as he turned to her.

Well its safe to say Thando Thabethe has been on a roll this year.
She sat down with The Huffington post to share more details on her new movie “Love Lives Here” which is slated to be released on the September of this year.
She’s a girl trying to navigate love and ends up finding it in the one place she least expected to find it. The film is a true reflection of the struggles women in South Africa face‚ a battle between what their heart wants and what society, or tradition, thinks is right. It is all about that conflict between what people say and what they want for themselves,” she says.
Behind the scenes, Thando also plays the role of executive producer.
“I’m excited about the movie, because the character that I play is very different to those I’ve played before. Also, [being] the executive producer is really exciting. I love it,” Thando admits.
She tells HuffPost she’s also looking forward to the debut of her new talk show, “Thando Bears All“, on TLC in April.
“If you’re a fan of TLC as well as all its out-of-the-box and sometimes strange shows, you’re going to love this show – we sit down and talk to the South African equivalent of the people who make those shows, and hear their stories as people who live their lives in an unorthodox way,” she says
Thando also features in “Johnny Just Come“, a pan-African comedy that features South African and Nigerian actors.
“Although my role in the movie is quite small, I had so much fun shooting – I can’t wait for people to see it,” she says.
Thando Thabethe recently posted a picture of her bare belly on Twitter. The caption read: “Something’s coming.”
This led to the assumption by Thabethe’s fans, that she was pregnant.
She however addressed the pregnancy rumours.

Thando explained that she was having fun, and it was not serious.

For the past two years hair and beauty franchise Candi & Co have recognised people who have achieved greatness in their careers at their annual Influencer awards ceremony. This year’s ceremony was held at Fairlawns Hotel, north of Johannesburg, where Thando Thabethe received the overall influencer award.
Thando owned 2017 by succeeding in balancing her acting career with her job as a radio DJ, launching her Thabooty lingerie range and becoming an ambassador for vodka brand Ciroc.
Model and TV personality K Naomi scooped up the breakthrough influencer award.
Candi & Co’s managing director Candice Thurston says their company is big on driving entrepreneurship and the winners this year are people who have demonstrated hard work within their careers, yet they’ve remained humble. “Congratulations to everyone. Continue the hard work you do in our country.”
