Sassy Massawe Japanni Reunited with Comical Awinja (Otoyo)

Theirs was one of the best chemistries on evening drive radio. Their show – Tabaradi Drive – on Q FM would rope in numbers more than bees to honey.

However in late 2012, Massawe Japanni left Q FM to join the newly revamped Milele FM after its acquisition by Uhuru Kenyatta leaving behind her “partner in crime” Cleopas Awinja aka JPT.

Awinja would be paired with Aggy Owande for Q Drive but towards the end of April, he hung his headphones and switched off his mic at Q FM, remaining tight-lipped about his next move.

And now ladies and gentlemen, it’s a pleasure letting you know that Awinja na Massawe have finally been re-united after close to 2 years away from each other.

Awinja officially went on air at Milele last week with Massawe and just like they did at Q FM, their partnership coupled with their chemistry on air is expected to greatly boost the radio station’s ratings whose main competition is Citizen Radio.

Remember to catch these two every weekday from 3 through to 7PM on Milele FM as they say, “Wewe Ni Wetu”.
