Say Hello to Coast region’s “Willy M Tuva”

Citizen Radio’s Mzazi Willy M Tuva is undoubtedly the king of radio nationally and stats prove so. He’s perfected his game over the years and is also proving he’s a big-shot on TV thanks to his show, Mseto East Africa.

The talented and extremely humble radio and TV star does exemplary job on both platforms. Having started from humble beginnings, Tuva’s hardwork and dedication has seen his shows grow to become the most celebrated music shows in East Africa!

And now, Tuva seems to have inspired many because Mombasa County also boasts of its own “Willy M Tuva”.

Mombasa’s award winning radio presenter, Gates Mgenge, famous for his Mashav Mashav radio show on Pwani FM is gradually become a household name in showbiz.

 

Gates (Eric Gates) has without a doubt grown to be one of the biggest names and a force to reckon with in the radio and entertainment industry in the Coast region. 

Born in Embu and raised by his grandparents, Gates’s dream has always been to be on radio. However, that dream was almost stalled since his grandpa wanted him to become an engineer. He is however an engineer by profession and a graduate of the Technical university of Mombasa (formerly Mombasa Polytechnic).

Gates joined the entertainment industry in 2002 as a rapper then became an MC before landing a gig at Pwani FM which has seen the rise and rise of his star.
