See Who Was With Kemboi’s Family When He Won Gold In Beijing On Monday (Photo)

Celebrated runner Ezekiel Kemboi made history on Monday when he won his 4th consecutive gold for Kenya in the 3,000 Men Steeplechase.

Kemboi, as usual, broke into his signature dance after leading other three Kenyans to sweep the medals in Beijing, China.

Back home in Eldoret, the Mecca of Athletics was glued to the screens  as residents watched their son make history many miles away.

Kemboi’s family in particular was glued in a hotel in Eldoret to watch the runner win the gold.

His sons and wives were highly elated as they sat with Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago to see Kemboi win the race.

His sons particularly told the Standard that they want to emulate their father when they grow up. They said even if they may not replicate their father’s heroics, they will try and make history like him.
