After the 100 bob wedding, Somalia bans expensive weddings…Kenyan women will go crazy after seeing the amount that has been set for bride price

It’s not yet clear whether 100 bob wedding influenced this decision but neighboring Somalia has taken a stern decision in regards to expensive weddings.

According to a report that first appeared on BBC, Administrators in Beled Hawa have placed a ban on lavish weddings because apparently young men in the region were finding it hard to find spouses. It has also led to an alarming number of children being born out of wedlock something that has compelled the administration to take action.

In that regard the area commissioner Mohamud Osman has set the new spending limits as ksh 60,000 for furnishing a couples new home and Ksh 15,000 for bride price. Receptions in big hotels have also been banned and so are mind boggling vehicle fleets, expensive rings, extravagant photography and what not.

And many Kenyans especially men have welcomed this decision just like they welcomed with the 100 bob wedding.

“A common vice witnessed is that people plan for the wedding and not the marriage. Nothing breaks my heart more than seeing people have a big wedding but the marriage disintegrates after a month” One Sammy told the Nation.

Do you think such a law should be instigated in Kenya?

The 100 bob couple to finally have a proper wedding on Valentines day…..and this is the millions it will cost!

It looks like it’s far from over for the 100 bob couple, Wilson and Anne who broke the ranks on social media after their 100 bob wedding.

Just the other day they were on honeymoon in Diani a fully sponsored trip by Bonfire Adventures only to come back and realize they are actually millionaires courtesy of Diamond properties.

You would have thought it was over and they would eventually go back to their lives but noooo; things were just starting.

As it has been revealed by Nairobi News, the two are scheduled to have a proper wedding on the Valentines which will cost a whooping*say it with me* 3.5million. Can you imagine that?

The wedding is being planned by Aaltoneh Jumba of Slique events and it will consist of premium decorators, caterers and planners in an equally premium garden in Nairobi.

This is will be in the presence of family and friends with the pastor who officiated the first wedding being their best man.

From me and the entire Ghafla fraternity, may they have live to see after forever!
