There is drama brewing in Bongo and this is after the government cracked the whip on drug trafficking in the country.
The first casualties were none other but A list celebrities in the country with the most notable names being Wema Sepetu, TID and Clouds MP presenter Babuu wa Kitaa. They are part of a 17 member group that is currently being held at Central Police Post Dar.
And it seems the head of police is not done yet having summoned Diamond Platnumz as well. He has been ordered to also report before the Country’s Investigative Agency at Central police post on the same charges of drug trafficking.
He has been summoned alongside recovering addict Ray C, rapper Nay wa Mitego and Wema’s ex boyfriend Idris Sultan.
Together they all form a list of released on Friday by Dar provincial commissioner Paul Makonda consisting of suspected drug traffickers drawn from the government and the larger Bongo entertainment industry.
Drug use and trafficking in Tanzania is big business having been seen to destroy souring careers of big Bongo stars.
