Not Jalango the comedian but Jalango the murderer as it read on the charge sheet in court earlier on Friday, 10th February.
The charge sheet was part of a case where Lawrence Joel Nyamo also known as Kepha Omanga Boundi pleaded not guilty for threatening to kill KTN news anchor Joy Doreen Biira.
It is alleged that on January 15th, 2017 Joel sent Doreen a message threatening to kill her if Aaron Ochieng-a then Standard Group Editor was not freed from police custody. He was locked up in connection to the disappearance of Joy Biira’s car.
“Wewe Doreen Kama Aaron hatoki jela, believe me or not we will surely kill you in cold blood and any time-by Jalango” read the message.
Mr. Nyamo however pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Ksh 300,000. The case is set for the second hearing on 23rd February.
