The End Times? Major Earthquake Wrecks Havoc In Meru County.

Meru residents were yesterday treated to a mild shock of nature in a series of tremors that rocked the county last evening. 

The magnitude of the earthquake has not yet been determined but going by witnesses accounts the tremor started heavy before it dissipated. 

“I felt like something big  just hit the ground, then the ground shook for like half a minute and then it stopped suddenly!”  Recorded Mutea. 

In some parts of Meru the impact was far much greater with people in a small commune in Gacokomone reporting that a building had collapsed after the quake. 

Like all happenings, this one too had its fair share of speculations with people attributing it to the end times spoken of in the Christian bible, others blamed it on the sins of the county, saying that God was raring to punish the county for its transgressions. 

Those claims cannot be substantiated at the moment as people await the forensic report from seismologists on the nature and magnitude of the quake. 

The last time residents reported of an earthquake in the county was 13 years ago.
