The Fate Of The Two KIKUYU Women Caught Stealing Meat In South Africa Has Been Decided.

Over the years the name “Kikuyu’s” has become synonymous with acts of thievery.

This is a stereotype that most of us have come to take as a lame joke. For you see, there are as many Kikuyu thieves as are luos or Kamba or Kuria. Our society is however fixated in the stereotype that if you find a Kikuyu thief it lends more credence to the theory that Kikuyu’s are thieves.

It is whatever.

Now the fate of Two Kikuyu women caught in the act has been decided by a South African jury. It has been recommended that the two who have been working in south Africa be deported to Kenya immediately and their contracts with the meat company revoked.

Ruth Njoki and Stella Nyokabi will now have to contend with trying to make ends meet without their jobs.

I  don’t support crime, but the women did what they had to do for their family and to me that is priceless. I shall be last to cast a rock at them.
