THE MALAIKA AWARDS HAPPENING TODAY

The Malaika Tribute Awards are finally here.

The event takes place today at the Windsor Golf & Country Club along Kiambu Road from 6.00 p.m.

Malaika Tribute Awards are aimed at celebrating people with disabilities and recognizing the work of people who have contributed to making their lives better.

Last year saw Barrack Ounga, Martha Ouko, Mary Atieno, Ruth Mueni, Shadrack Wambugu, Bethany Kids Kijabe Hospital and Dr.Michael Ndurumo win the awards in the following categories:

Innovator of the Year
Young Achiever: Arts & Music Award
Lifetime Achievement Award
Special Recognition Award
Young Achiever: Sports
Good Samaritan Award
Notable Educator of the Year Award

Malaika Trust also hopes to bring change in the community and help the society to view the disabled people as their equal and supporting the rights of people living with disabilty.
