These Youngsters Might Just Be Kenya’s Latest Young Millionaires

The winners of the Orange Beat Ya Street competition will be announced tomorrow, Saturday, October 4th. Either Wapi Wapi or FBI will receive Kshs. 5 million this weekend.

This follows the final session of the dance competition which took place on Saturday September 21, 2013 at the Rugby Football Union of East Africa (RFUEA) Grounds, along Ngong Road from 7.00 p.m.

During the event, the eight finalists performed in front of a live audience after which the two eventual crews were selected to battle it out for the Kshs. 5 million prize. Following their selection, Wapi Wapi and FBI will now go head to head on September 28, after which the OBYS winner will be announced during the final broadcast of the event via NTV.

Wapi Wapi were selected as Nairobi regional representatives while FBI (which stands for “Focus Beyond Imagination”) were brought in as wildcard finalists after being saved by the public as crowd favourite.

Other finalists were Dabs from Mombasa; SO SICK from Kisumu and Thika’s Sisqo Dancers.  Apart from FBI, the other 3 wildcard finalists, all selected via a Google+ Hangout, were Tsunami from Mombasa (Best Runners Up); Kipaji Africa from Thika (Most Promising crew) and Thika’s #RadioActive as the Most Entertaining.

The winner will be announced during a live broadcast on NTV from 8.00 p.m.
