This Is The Lady Everyone Should Watch Out For… Producers, Singers And… Everyone

Kenya got talent people. The very unfortunate thing is that very few people are around to tap these talents and because they cant do all the workload what happens is that they are eroded and washed away. Just like that! Quite appalling, right?

Imagine what would have happen if let’s say Victor Wanyama or Lupita Nyong’o or David Rudisha’s talents were not nurtured and cultivated to benefit them. Where would these guys be? I don’t even want to imagine….

This is the situation most Kenyans find themselves in when their talents are not nurtured. Probably because no one sees the need to or the environment itself does not favour them.

But for Kate Moraa, despite the hardships and the struggles of a very unfair life, she has defied all odds to showcase what God has blessed her with.

This woman has voice… a voice that will leave the likes of Marvin Gaye and Whitney Houston turning in their graves. A voice that just needs the attention it deserves.

Kate is a Salsa teacher who entertains in different places where she is always invited thanks to her voice.

Her latest release, despite being sang in one of the local languages in the country, will just draw you closer. The message, the voice and the rhythm of the song, the beats and the tone are just impeccable.

Asked by Ghafla! Kenya why she chose to sing in Ekegusii and not one of the national or official languages in the country, Kate says she wants to delve in her Kenyan roots because she realised most artistes choose other languages at the expense of the local languages. She, however, says that she will be releasing Swahili and English songs soon.

Oh, she is beautiful too. That complements everything in this video. These are the kind of voices that State House would invite again if a big dignitary made a stop in the country again.

In her latest release Nkayiare (Where is She), Kate sings to her late mother whom she misses sooo much. She particularly remembers her considering the manner in which those around her are treating her. She believes if her mother was around things would be better than now.

She is an Afro-neo-soul singer and believe it people, she is destined for greatness. There are those who started even when they had nothing to show to the world. But Kate has a voice and a face, and I believe this will catapult her into fame in the next 16 hours.

She was scouted by Kenny Njuguna, Beatrice Ndung’u and Isiye Kala who are part of the team that searches for talent at Platinum Digital PR.

Here is her song:
