This is the New TV Channel to be Launched Soon

In the few coming days, Pwani TV, a local television station for ‘Coasterians’, will be launched.

Pwani TV aims at providing high quality informational, inspirational, entertaining and educational programming and broadcasting to communities living in the Coast region.

“We aim towards the coastal audience, and we dedicate our efforts towards those interested in Coastal affairs,” reads the TV’s statement.

Local content production will be the backbone of Pwani TV since viewers from the Coast value the diversity of their coastal culture, and programs which highlight their culture, problems facing them in terms of development, infrastructure, health, medical issues, and education which are often unavailable on mainstream media.

The station’s five‐year plan seeks to ensure key communities have the resources to participate effectively in community media, and that all our communities are able to learn, engage and produce on a variety of platforms.
