Irene Namubiru expresses her gratitude to student who saved her life

In the tragic accident where a boat capsized, singer Irene Namubiru was one of the few people that survived 

Irene Namubiru has taken to Instagram to narrate how she escaped death on the fateful day and thank her hero Musole Brian and all the other people that worked hard to save people’s lives.

“Here is MASOLE BRIAN a student at KIU who saved my life AND MANY others’. He went back to the lake 3 times until there were no other people alive.

Brian and other fellow stud3nts had hired their boat to go have fun on the near by Islands. When they heard and saw our boat capsizing, he quickly took his friends ashore and cane to rescue us.

He heard my distress calls for help as i saw other boats passing us by, saw the light of my phone that I kept waving up and came right to me. He asked me for the phone, bag and then pulled me in. Then he tried to pull the lady who came grabbing on my hand and life jacket almost drowning me. I managed to bring her up to the boat but she died right there as part of her life jacket got stuck under the boat and she was to heavy. That was Mrs. BISASE owner of the boat. I left my phone with BRIAN which he used to save others and went straight to resuscitate a one SHYLLA NANKUNDA who must have died on the boat. I Thank you Brian, The fishermen , the locals and all those who with whom we were trying to save others. It’s unfortunate that One fisherman died so others could live. May he R.I.P. On that very night Brian communicated with my people found who I was, assured them that I was alive and safe. At 03h30 he was at my house with my manager just to make sure. . Yesterday, Monday 26th 2018, Brian came home, brought back my shoes and phone! .

Irene Namubiru, Prince Wasajja Among the Survivors of Boat Accident

The world came to a stand still with news about a boat thay capsized on Lake Victoria. Many are feared dead, as a total of 120 people who had turned up for the boat cruise had their lives in danger. Singer, Irene Namubiru, and Prince Wasaija have been reported to be some of the survivors. It is said in multiple reports that they were wearing life jackets.

The boat was from KK to  Mutima Island and had some of Kampala’s big party animals and socialites. There is information that from no other survivors have been discvered since 1.00am on Sunday. Some bodies have however been found. May their souls rest in peace and may God comfort the bereaved families.

Irene Namubiru to represent Uganda on the 150th birthday celebration of Mahatma Ghandi

After collaborating with Indian Super star Shaan on India day celebrations in Uganda, Irene Namubiru has gained a lot of favor with the Indian community.

She will be one of 124 artists to attend the celebrations in India in addition to the mega medley with various artistes.

She took to her social media to post

I would like to thank the Indian High commission with 124 countries to represent my Country Uganda on this 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Covering VAISHNAV JAN TO was a challenge for me being that I had never spoken or known any Gujarati speaking person before. But I understood the song very well, It’s a prayer! That helped me pull it off. We all need PRAYER in our lives.

On the Occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India released the medley of Vaishnav Jan bhajan composed with the help of artists and musicians from 124 Countries.

A real song bird is one that can take on any task regardless of the weight. Indian music is one of the hardest to mi-mick, or even sing along, as it requires a different type of voice. Serene, clear and extremely high. Ugandan singer, Irene Namubiru was given this river to cross, and I would like to say she did great. To commemorate Mahatma Ghandi’s birth Anniversary, the singer was chosen to do the Vaishnav Jan To Challenge, and all we can say is wow!

Irene Namubiru Chosen to Represent Uganda on Mahatma Gandhi 150th Birth Anniversary

Irene Namubiru is a Diva of her own. She is chosen to represent Uganda mostly because of her uniqueness, both in voice and personality. Just after the recently concluded Miss Uganda UK competition where the song bird was among the few who presented. We have come to learn that Irene has yet been nominated for another challenge. She shared her gratitude in a Facebook post;

“I would like to thank the Indian High Commission in Uganda for trusting and Choosing me among the many talented singers in Uganda to be part of the 124 musicians from different Countries to represent my Country Uganda on this 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Irene Namubiru, Daxx Kartel sign concert deal for south Africa

Songstress Irene Namubiru and one hit wonder, Daxx Kartel could have their broke days as history.

News reaching our desk is that the two have signed a juicy deal to perform in South Africa.

The two were booked by a Ugandan promoter based in South Africa.

This promoter is known as Twaha, a CEO of Multi-National Events Company, Icy Studios based in South Africa.

The show has been dubbed, “Ekkivulu Ekiguĺawo Omwaka” and will take place at Randburg Mabaleng Sports Club.

While speaking to Howwe, Twaha told our reporter that he chose the two artists over the current hot cakes in the industry because they had hits before and they have been silent which caused their high demand in South Africa.
