CMI Squad Arrests Suspects Over The Killing of ASP Kirumira

Police Officer, Muhammed was assassinated last month, next to his home. This came just a few weeks after Arua Municipality MP, Abiriga was shot dead, and a few months after police commander Kaweesi was killed. All this has brought fear among Ugandans about who is safe, and who isn’t. About 24 suspects were arrested over the murder of Kaweesi. We believe that more have been arrested over the killing of Kirumira. President Museveni congratulated the CMI unit for arresting these suspects.

“Countrymen, Countrywomen and Bazukulu I am sure I am speaking on behalf of many of you when I congratulate the CMI squads which arrested a number of suspects in the killing of ASP Kirumira on Friday night. Quite a number of them will appear in court soon.”

Pemba fires back on why he didn’t pay debt

Socialite Jack Pemba has come out to address his issues with businessman Godfrey Kirumira whom he owed $200,000 (about Shs720m) and he says it has nothing to do with not having money to pay him.

Court last week issued an arrest warrant for the self styled moneybags Jack Pemba after Kirumira demanded that he pays back $300,000 (about Shs1 billion).

Pemba’s Range Rover.

Pemba admits that he borrowed $200,000 from Kirumira and gave him his three prized cars jointly valued at over Shs1.2 billion as security.

The cars included a Range Rover with customized license plates ONLY 1 JP, which Pemba says was valued at $140,000 (about Shs513m), a brand new 2017 Landcruiser ZX 2017 model on which Pemba had spent $175,000 (about Shs642m) and a Hummer H3 valued at $35,000 (about Shs128m).

Pemba says the cars were supposed to be parked in safe custody but Kirumira unfortunately drove his cars and also gave them to his children to drive.

“They depreciated in value, and that really annoyed me,” Pemba said.

It’s on record as tabloid reported late last year that Kirumira was seen driving Pemba’s “ONLY 1 JP” Range Rover to the Pearl of Africa Hotel. When Pemba read the news, he was very cross because Kirumira hadn’t stuck to the agreement.

Apparently, he signed a sale agreement meaning that Kirumira had the liberty to sell the cars in case Pemba didn’t pay up.

Pemba says because Kirumira had driven the cars and their value depreciated, he had made up his mind to sell them and repay Kirumira, something that Kirumira refused.

Sources also told us that Kirumira became very angry after he realized that Pemba had bought a brand new Lexus valued at over Shs620m and he flew in Congolese star Koffi Olomidde to perform at his wife Sheebah Kassami’s birthday party at the Sheraton Hotel where he blew more than Shs100m.

A cross Kirumira run to court to compel Pemba to repay him, but Pemba wonders why his cars that were supposed to be kept as security were driven.

Pemba adds that Kirumira also rented out the cars to weddings and crashed the Landcruiser.

Since the agreement between Pemba and Kirumira was a sales agreement, Pemba says the option Kirumira had was to sell the cars instead of running to court.

Afande Kirumira Charged for eating a Rolex that wasn’t his

Yes, Naguru Police tribunal charged Kirumira with abuse of office where he allegedly ate a rolex belonging to a one Joseph Bukenya. This was during his term of office at Nansana.

Well, Ugandans are very amused that eating a rolex is now criminal! Merely eating another person’s rolled eggs wrapped with chappati can be considered a crime! Surely, several criminals are on the loose for committing this offense!

Seriously you should be kidding… Then after let’s expect others charges like fitting a police uniform from the normal size. God bless Uganda”, one Facebook user commented.

“Welcome to Uganda where eating is a crime”, one Moses Kivumbi stated.

Whatever your take on this matter, Police believes he has a case to answer!

Kirumira was also charged with taking a bribe of sh210,000 which he got from Ronald Kasagga (kinene) husband to musician Doreen Mutiibwa.

If you plan on eating any Rolex from Now on, make sure it belongs to you.

Drama as Police Blocks Journalists from Covering Kirumira’s Case

Journalism is not an easy  job. When you are one, you have to get the job done, and write the story, regardless of the circumstance. There has been drama today, when police blocked Journalists from Covering Kirumira’s trial.

The former Buyende District Police Commander, ASP Muhammad Kirumira had been arrested on several counts, some of them including; extortion, corruption and misuse of office. Kirumira was granted bail, when he apologized for his “scandalous misconduct”

Police, blocked all family and relatives of the ASP Kirumira, from accessing the victim. Some journalists, who are brave enough to do their jobs in the lines of war, decided to cover the story. This brought a lot of drama as the police raced to chase after the journalist. The police wanted to arrest the journalists because they attempted to cover the trial or Kirumira, who had been in detention.

Great job to the journalists, who do their best to get for us first hand news.

KIRUMIRA MOHAMMED’S FORCEFUL ARREST

The police employed all means to get Kirumira out of his house, and also disperse the crowds. These included gunshots, and flying squads. Our sources also report that they did not use any search warrants. Kirumira apparently resigned from the police force.

From a press release yesterday, we confirm that this resignation was rejected. The police had warned him against this form of resignation. Kirumira resigned from his position using social media, which the police also considers an act of crime.

Kirumira, the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) is being charged with these crimes which he  committed around 2014 and 2013

“If anyone feels that by me saying this I have committed a crime, let them add it on the other ones. I want to leave the force a clean man,” Mr Kirumira commented.

Many of his supporters, friends and family also crowded around the house trying to block the arrest.

We will keep you posted on the issue as it unfolds.
