No Porn in uganda. Sites Blocked

Have you tried out your favorote porn site lately, only to find it blocked? We know why. In July this year, Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) ordered all Internet service providers to block pornography websites on the Internet.

This has finally taken effect, and takes up some of the juiciest sites ever, like pornhub.com, xvideos.com and youporn.com

Quoting section Section 13 of the Anti-Pornography Act 2014, “a person shall not produce, traffic in, publish, broadcast, procure, import, export, sell or abet any form of pornography and anyone who commits such is liable, on conviction, to a fine of Shs10m or imprisonment not exceeding 10 years.”

With this law in place, Ugandans are limited from sharing any material, that is considered as pornography. This includes nude celebrity photos.

Our sources report that only VPN users can be able to access these sites at their will. Not even OTT Tax can save you here!

Districts With The Most Porn Watchers Exposed

It looks like the Uganda anti-pornography committee is working, and making their presence known.

It was this year, when pornigraphy in Uganda was noted as one of the  issues that could cause serious problems. An anti porn committee was then formed.

It is said that anyone who engages in pornograpy will get almost ten years in prison, and any media houses that are found publicizing that type of content could be closed and expelled from operation.

The Committee was set up under the Anti-Pornography Bill, passed by parliament in 2014.

The minister of Ethics and Integrity, Simon Lokodo claims said that pornography has an in line connection with drug abuse, incest, teenage pregnancies, rape and other vulgarities.

Well, the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity has made known to the public, the districts that watch the most pornography. Kampala, Mbarara and Jinja we’re listed.

The anti porn committee was bought for, a high tech machine capable of detecting pornographic content. Apparently, it has a contains a software that can pick up videos, graphics, audio or photos that have this content.
