We would conclude that there is no other opposition stronger than the one of neighboring Kenya. News has just surfaced, about Raila Odinga, who boycotted the presidential elections last year, swearing in as the People’s president in a mock ceremony yesterday.

WHY RAILA ODINGA SWORE IN

The results of the presidential elections of Kenya were nullified by the supreme court, even after Uhuru Kenyatta had a 98% win. Raila and the NASA team, took democracy into their own hands, and had the president sworn in in the presence of multitudes at Uhuru Park. They watched the leader of the , National Super Alliance (NASA), hold the Bible and promise to protect his people.

Raila Odinga referred to the previous elections as “fake” and he announced that he would swear in front of a National Assembly in December. This however did not take place, and an arrangement was made for January. Currently, Kenya now has two Presidents, and both have updated their twitter pages with the title.

This has created a swearing in trend in the country. Many Kenyans are posting photos of themselves, doing independent swearing ins using all sorts of items.  The journey to democracy is a real one. Congratulations to Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga on their newly attained presidency.
