J Kazoora jailed over a 53 Million UGX Debt

Magic One boss,  David Kazoora alias JK Kazoora was arrested along the Lugogo bypass by bailiffs from Tuskem Associates for failing to pay 53 Million.

 

The High court sent him to Luzira civil prison where he will spend the next 6 months.

 

Our snoops have learnt that the TV content creation guru is accused of failing to pay a bank loan amounting to Fifty three (53) million Uganda shillings to United Bank of Africa (UBA) that he borrowed in 2015.

 

Deputy registrar in-charge of the Execution Division of the High Court, Deo Nzeyimana, signed the committal warrant sending Kazoora to civil prison and ordered UBA to pay a daily fee of Shs 3,000 to cater for Kazoora’s meals.

 

Well, this is not the first time Kazoora has been involved in a financial scandal.

 

In 2014, David Kazoora was dragged to court in Rwanda as prosecutors accused him of diverting an advertising project from Buddies Production (R) Limited, where he was co-owner, to his new firm, Buddies TV Ltd thus fleecing his partner of dividends.

Remember Christopher Thomas, the former ‘Duke’ of Tooro? Well, it seems the American has finally settled for the life of the ‘abakopi’ (Commoners). Thomas is now father to a baby boy!

The flamboyant man who had a glimpse of royalty posted on his Facebook announcing the baby boy.

“Duke is a daddy”, he posted on Facebook and revealed the name as Austin Thomas.

The British Royal Wedding held over the weekend evoked memories of Thomas and Princess Komuntale. However, their union failed to stand the test of time as the royal couple split.

Sheebah’s Videos are Pornographic- Porn Committee

Annette Kezaabu, who is the head of the Pornography Control Committee has described some of Sheebah Karungi’s music as pornographic in nature. She says they contain sexual innuendos that corrupt people’s minds.

 

Kezaabu, whose mission is to wipe out pornography, says she can work with Sheebah to fight porn.

 

“I can collaborate with her but she needs to tone down her videos,”Kezaabu revealed in a recent interview.

 

She also says although she must fight music like Sheebah’s, there are more urgent things to deal with for now.

Drama: Bryan White’s Car Knocks Trader Dead

Police in Kampala are investigating a case in which the driver of one the cars owned by city socialite Brian Kirumira popularly known as Bryan White allegedly knocked a sand dealer dead.

The 30-year-old Steven Ndunguse was riding a motor bike when he was knocked by one of the cars in Bryan White’s convoy on Saturday evening.

He was rushed to Mukwaya General Hospital in Nsambya where he was pronounced dead.

His body was taken to Rwanda for burial.

Police say Mathias Kasambu who was reportedly driving the car was arrested and is being held at Kabalagala Police Station.

Eye witnesses blamed the accident on the driver of White’s car.

Relatives opened up a case at Kabalagala Police Station where the Range Rover spot which reportedly caused the accident and the motorcycle were impounded.

“He was driving a range rover registration number 242 will be arraigned in court and charged with reckless driving causing death, as soon as investigations are complete,” said Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire.

The deceased’s friends have tasked police to explain why the socialite moves around with security personnel including UPDF officers, a police escort car and drives recklessly with impunity yet he’s not a high profile public servant or politician.

The accident comes just weeks after the socialite was cleared of attempted murder charges by court when he allegedly shot one Victor Bitwire outside his Munyonyo home.

Son to South African President Fined for Fathering a child with Amama’s Daughter

The entourage for Andile Ramaphosa, the son of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived at former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s home in Kololo where the introduction ceremony is going on.

On arrival Andile was slapped with a fine of a goat, for reportedly fathering a child with Mbabazi’s niece, Bridget Birungi Rwakairu before marriage.

The couple has a two-months-old baby.

Ramaphosa arrived in the country last evening with a marriage proposal which he will present to former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s family.

Ramaphosa’s has been dating Rwakairu who hails from Kigezi where the ceremony is called okushaba.

This is where the groom to be visits the bride’s family to propose the marriage.

Ramaphosa is accompanied by his mother Hope Ramaphosa, South African High Commissioner and city businessman Charles Mbire.

“I’m not Old” Hellen Lukoma

How old do you think Hellen Lukoma is? Her singing career started in Obsessions wich was back in the mid-20s, she then broke away and formed HB Toxic with her then best friend Brenda.

Then she opened up a boutique and still disguised herself as a musician before linking up with Leila Kayondo and before we knew it, she was on the verge of getting married to her sweet heart Dean.

That also never yielded anything but during the just concluded Buzz Teeniez awards, Lukoma didn’t necessarily say her age but distanced herself from being old on stage in front of kids who were mostly 18 years old.

This was after she was invited on stage alongside Mc Kats and instead of presenting just one, they were made to stay longer and give out four awards. Kats was a little bothered by this but had to ask the audience. “Aren’t you tired of us? But anyway you cannot get tired of us because we have grown with you. You have seen us from you were two and you are still seeing us. Do you know that we are old Lukoma?” Kats asked Lukoma who replied, “You are old alone Kats”.

Flavia Breaks Silence on Her Relationship with Andrew Kabuura

As it seems, the royal wedding has given Flavia Tumusiime courage to announce her engagement so not to get shadowed the Meghan-Harry romance.

But it was only a matter of time as a woman in love cannot hide any secrets. For the first time, today (May 21) the NTV news anchor spoke out on the state of her relationship with Kabuura and this was live on TV during the Morning at NTV. Flavia who could not contain her excitement announced that Kabuura had finally gone down on one knee.

“Over the weekend, I got engaged,” she said evoking screams, ululations and hugs from her co-cost, Malaa.

The show lost control as the focus instead shifted to Flavia and her ring. Poor Andrew Comrade Kyamagero who was on stand by in the field was ignored despite Flavia’s attempts to engage him.

“It was a nice surprise. I will be honest, I hate surprises because I never know how to react. I was dumb founded. I kept quiet a bit. I did cry but am looking forward to it,” Flavia intimated.

She, however, was pessimistic about getting married and asked her co-host, “how bad is marriage?” she was immediately corrected by Malaa who told her, “No it’s a beautiful thing,”

She, however did not reveal, the mystery man but come on Flavia, we all know. She also said it’s the last time she has opened up about her love life. Yeah right Flavia…you wish! Any way, when does Sqoop receive its wedding invitation card? We are excited!

Sheebah Rumoured to be feasting on New Rapper “Recho Ray”

Sheebah Karungi was spotted at the just concluded Zzina beach Carnival at Lido in Entebbe tightmarking a female rapper Recho Ray. She kept whispering sweet stuff into her ears and kept a close eye on her while back stage as the two waited to perform.

 

A close mole from TNS headquarters informed us that Sheebah has been uncomfortable ever since Nina Roz exited the group.

 

“She has been trying to get close to Fille but Mc Kats is an obstacle,” a source alleged.

 

On Thursday, Sheebah shared a picture which she captioned with praises, “Bawala Tukuba @rechorey #YoungFemaleRapper!

 

In the past, female rapper Keko accused Sheebah of using her. The two publically exchanged bitter words. Keko is currently a citizen of Canada where she pronounced that she is gay.

Salvador Idringi and Alex Muhangi Resurrect their beef again

Last year, there was a cat fight between comedians, Idringi Salvador and Alex Muhangi.

It all started when Alex  Muhangi got kicked out of Bukoto based Dinners Lounge, where he used to hold his weekly comedy show. The same venue management later hired Salvador’s kid brother known as Toma to run the place, which didn’t go well with Alex, who accused them of betraying him.

He went on social media, blocked Salvador and accompanied it with a long Facebook post branding his former allies ‘mafias’.

The beef was later called off with a reunion show at 400 bar and restaurant in December last year.

Since then, the two have been sighted together, and last week, Salvador performed at Comedy store at UMA show grounds, where Alex hosts his weekly comedy .

Our reliable sources within Salvador’s camp have intimated us that he has vowed  never to work with Alex ever again following a Facebook post he made on Sunday after the premiere of a comedy show, “The Comic” on NBS,  hosted and pioneered by Salvador.  It is aimed at looking for the next big local comedian.

“The Comic & NBS,This is what am thinking..Get that Car,give it to Mc Mariachi and we call it a day.Bino Mutukoyeza Bwerere,” Alex posted.

Salvador  believes this is a total diss and a huge character assassination aimed at killing a successful project he has dreamed of all his life .

“He actually regrets performing at UMA last week, he is bitter with Alex because he is also a product of a talent search. Why would he  downplay his hustle yet he is a stakeholder in the comedy industry,” a source wondered.

Close friends say Alex is a ‘baby’ in an adult skin.

He is too emotional and rarely separates business from his feelings.

Is Winnie Nwagi finally leaving Swangz Avenue

Singer Winnie Nwagi quitting her record label, Swangz Avenue, has been the talk of the town for quite some time now but she has always denied the rumour.

The “Musawo” hitmaker is in her final days at the Muyenga based Record Label.

Reliable sources say Winnie Nwagi is not happy with the attention her bosses are giving to work mate, Vinka, who is rising to fame very fast, a reason she has of recent abandoned Swangz Avenue events.

Winnie Nwagi failed to appear at the just concluded Buzz Teeniez Awards organised by Buzz Events, a sister company to Swangz Avenue over the weekend just days after she had arrived late during the launch of “Swangz All-Star Tour Concert” at the Square, Industrial area.

However, Winnie’s bosses claim that everything is ok with the singer.

It is remembered that Irene Ntale’s exit from Swangz Avenue also started after she felt neglected by her bosses.

Now Winnie Nwagi is in the exact same spot.

Are Men Really afraid of being with women who are more successful than them?

There are many stories about men who have suffered one sort of pain or another while they were in a relationship or marriage with women who are successful or rich. In fact If you have dated one, you know.

Disrespect

Success gives people a feeling of independence, and for some woman, that feeling can be difficult to control. Once they feel they’re doing well, they get the impression that they can hold their own without a man. They become less respectful, caring, and available to the man in their life.

Trust

The other thing is that due to past experiences or of those around them, women who are successful have a problem not believing that a man can love them for them, and not for what they have, own or the position they occupy in society. That belief makes it hard for them to open up and let their guard down to any man. And of course, that would always drive men away from them.

 

Men like to be in charge, so not so many men would be willing to be in a relationship where they feel like they’re unloved or unappreciated. No man would want to be with a woman who makes him feel like he’s not worthy of her. That is why I think most men run away from women who are successful. There’s also the notion held by a majority of the society, that men who run after successful women are gold diggers. That doesn’t help either.

“We are still employees” Alex Muhangi speaks Out after being fired from “podium”

While speaking in Facebook live video with blogger Peng Peng, comedian Alex Muhangi, a former member of the podium has spoken out on being fired by Bryan White. He claims they signed a two months contract and are still employees.

“People are saying that we were fired but it’s not true. We had signed two months contracts with the Bryan White Foundation. The contracts were to expire on May 11 and we all knew it,” Muhangi says.

Muhangi stated that those who spent their earnings lavishly are in trouble.

“We agreed to do serious work for those two months and me I did my part. Those who didn’t save are in trouble,” he laughed.

Peng Peng advised Muhangi and the other booted comedians to take to city streets and demonstrate till their former boss takes them back to the podium but he said it was not necessary.

“We need to respect the big man’s decision and wait when he calls us back. Me I have enough projects I can be doing in the meantime. But there is no beef between us. We are now friends,” Muhangi said.

Irene Ntale rejoins Swangz Avenue As they celebrate 10 years of existence

A few days ago, we revealed that singer Irene Ntale is going to work with Muyenga based music label, Swangz Avenue again after falling out with the label in 2017.

 

Swangz is going to be holding regional tours as they celebrate 10 years in the game. Ntale is one of the several musicians featuring on the tour bus, a reflection that she has decided to put her differences aside to celebrate with her former bosses.

 

Talking about her, the label’s boss, Julius Kyazze said, “Ntale is our biggest product and we’re proud of her.”

 

Julius says it was a hard blow when she left, but what’s more important is that their values and systems remained intact.

Bryan White Fires Artistes from his Foundation AKA Podium

Money bag Bryan White has allegedly fired artistes and comedians from the ‘podium’. For starters, the socialite had of late become an employer of some of Uganda’s most famous stars in comedy and music.

The celebrities were ‘workers’ of the ‘Bryan White Foundation’. While details of their duty at the ‘foundation’ remains scanty, the celebrities gladly wore Bryan White Foundation branded uniforms and carried identity cards and name tags.

According to sources, Bryan White was forced to fire the celebrities after they started fighting over money. Some artistes who were allegedly loyal to rules of the foundation that required them to report for duty as early as 8am were not happy that others like Jose Chameleone did not adhere to the rules but still earned more than them.

“Yes it’s true we have made a few changes at the podium but we shall forever be grateful and respect whoever has been part of the BRIAN WHITE foundation.My boss will never disclose issues that erupted into terminating your contracts because he Respects you a lot but he will forever consider you hardworking people but just like any business,A leader is entitled to make a few changes in his firm. Zari rejects Range Rover from Ringtone

Ringtone Apoko, a Kenyan gospel singer who has declared his undying love for Zari, the mother of five took to social media and declared that he had also bought a brand new Range for her, weeks after allegedly purchasing a herd of cows to pay bride price for the Boss Lady’s hand in marriage.

It sounds crazy but it is true! The man even went on national TV and dared Zari to contact him.

In response to a fan who was begging for the car Ringtone wanted to give her, Zari said that the car would suit a certain person. According to Diamond’s ex-wife, Hamisa was in dire need of the car and would appreciate the donation.

“There is someone with a 1998 model that could use this range, not me. I got my own. #RealTalk” she wrote.

Now for those who don’t know, Diamond Platnumz gifted Hamisa with a Toyota RAV4 and it’s a 1998 model.

Rema Namakula vows not to date a Musician Again

She also revealed that the love spark between her and Kenzo was no more and vowed never to date any musician ever again, she will also not allow her daughter to get anywhere close to the music industry.

“I have no regrets working with Bebe Cool and up to now when we meet, I still say hello to him, it’s my Godmother, Halima Namakula that introduced me to him and after our Ceaze and Sekkle song, there was no looking back.”

Asked about her love life, Rema had this to say:

“I never knew I would date a musician, so I can’t really put it together and explain how we met, but one thing I am sure of is, I will never and ever date a musician again.”

Zari Explains that she left Diamond to teach her sons respect for women

Zari Hassan was in Kenya over the weekend for The Colour Purple event, hosted at the Uhuru Gardens. According to reports, the South African-based Ugandan businesswoman walked away with millions of shillings for covering the event.

In an exclusive interview with Maina Kageni on Classic 105, Zari said why she had to let Diamond go after as a series of well-documented indiscretions by the Bongo star.

“I loved him so much and everyone knows about that. You can go cheat there as a man but when it comes in with madharau, that is when it becomes too much. I felt that my integrity was so low. Like, when my big boys see Diamond misbehaving on social media, they will not have respect for women when they grow up.

“I asked myself, why do I have to settle for this? My children were insulted on social media. Being the fact that they do not have a father, they will know that in future they need to respect women, and that is why I left,” Zari said, adding that she still loves Diamond despite leaving him.

Eddie Kenzo working on Collabo with Chidimna

It’s not the first time the Uganda Tourism Ambassador, Eddy Kenzo is doing collaboration songs with artists from West Africa, we all remember the ‘Mbilo Mbilo’ remix which took the continent by storm, now the latest from the Kenzo camp is that he could be hitting the studio very soon to do a song with Nigerian singer and songwriter, Chidinma Ekile, aka Chidinma.

The two were sharing a light moment in Abdjan where they met for performances.

The 2018 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award winner shared four pics of him and the ‘Fallen in Love’ singer captioned as; “Chidima in Abidjan she is a great artist.”

This was followed by a lot of activity from fans that were concerned with the Sitya Loss star, they want more of this when Kenzo is with Rema, but they see less of it prompting all sorts of reactions;

“Is that why you did not take Rema out on her birthday?”

“As if you all don’t remember that Kenzo grew up from the Chidima!!!! He is simply back to his roots. Take a chill pill, love is in the heart not Facebook pictures, stop feeling the heat.”

“For sure this is becoming too much I have also started realising it, how can you post such when you didn’t post any pics for Rema or even wish her a happy birthday, Hmmm am starting to get concerned though it’s none of my business..”

Not long back, during Rema’s second concert that was held at Serena Hotel, the fans took to Twitter with a hashtag #MakeItOfficial demanding that Kenzo formalises his relationship with his baby mama and fellow singer, Rema Namakula.
