Wema Sepetu’s choker-necklace causes her trouble with Muslims (Photos)

The former Miss Tanzania was forced to address the controversial choker-necklace which has been deemed inappropriate by Muslims.

Wema Sepetu who is currently in Kenya, has sparked a heated debate on social media after she was spotted with choker-necklace that had a cross.

Wema who is originally a Muslim, caused discomfort among some members of her faith who thought the choker with a cross on her neck was some sort of crucifix that Christian faithful usually wear.

The Tanzanian was forced to explain that her choker had nothing to do with her faith, she further revealed that she was allowed to wear crucifix necklace since her father was a Roman Catholic.

“Naomba nitoe tamko… Nakipenda Ki-choker changu saaana… And wearing it doesnt make me any less a muslim… Maana mshaanza…! My Daddy Sepetu was A Roman Catholic FYI…!!!🙄🙄🙄 Wote tunamwamini Mungu… So if u cant accept it, Deal with it…! Kupangiwa maisha mnanijua SIPENDI….” Wrote Wema Sepetu.
