What Governor Mutua Told Julius Yego After Breaking His Own Record By Throwing 92.72M

Everybody has been singing Julius Yego’s name after the javelin thrower surpassed his own record in the ongoing IAAF Championships in Beijing, China.

Yego who learnt javelin through You Tube stunned many when he reached 92.72 metres, the 3rd longest throw in javelin history.

This is the reason why Governor Mutua has not minced words on Yego and his achievements. The governor took to his social media account to shower congratulatory messages on Yego, marveling at how he and others have made Kenya proud.

“Congratulations to Julius Yego for winning the javelin gold medal for Kenya in the ongoing World Championships in Beijing, China. He has broken the National record for the 4th time this year by throwing 92.72M. Its the longest throw in 14 years and the 3rd longest ever. Najivunia kuwa Mkenya,” Mutua said of Yego.

Yego joined several other Kenyan athletes who have put the country on top of the table with 11 medals, 6 of them being gold.
