What President Uhuru Told Ezekiel Kemboi After His Beijing Heroics

Celebrated runner Ezekiel Kemboi is the talk in town after he once again won the 3000M steeplechase in Beijing, China on Monday.

Kemboi set a new record for being the first runner to win the gold medal in four consecutive competitions, much to the expectation of many Kenyans.

He is a true legend. Kemboi led other Kenyans for a clean sweep of the medals, leading from number one to four.

And this is the reason why everybody is singing the athlete’s heroics.

Among those who have been marveling at Kemboi’s genius on the track is President Uhuru Kenyatta. Through his social media account, the head of state has lavished praise on Kemboi and his colleagues, congratulating them for their efforts which have continued to market Kenya to the globe.

The head of state joined other Kenyans and said:

“Congratulations Ezekiel Kemboi, Conseslus Kipruto & Brimin Kipruto for the clean sweep in the 3000m steeplechase #IAAFWorldChampionships“.

His deputy, William Ruto, also had a word for the athletes. He said:

“Bravo Ezekiel Kemboi for winning in the 3000m steeplechase final and Vivian for reclaiming her title in the 10,000m at IAAF in #Beijing2015“.
