Every couple has a love story and after more than 30 years in marriage, Ida Odinga has finally spoken as to how she ended up with Baba.
Speaking at a funeral of the late Rok Ajulu, a professor who fled from Kenya and settled in South Africa, she spoke of her days at the University of Nairobi and her interactions with political scientists, lawyers and politicians and how she used to loath them. One of those men was Ajulu, the man being laid to rest and the other was ODM’s headliners James Orengo.
Ida Odinga spoke about how the latter conducted student uprisings at the University which eventually led to Ida spending 5 years in the university instead of 4 which the Bachelors of Education degree she was studying dictated.

After that she and friends vowed not to get close to politicians so it came as a sigh of relief when she met Raila who was an engineer. Right and then she knew he was the man for her.
However as fate would have it, it was never the case as Raila ended being out of the most astounding politicians we have in this country and is still is.
She has adapted well and together they are admired as one of the political power couples in this country having been through thick and thin.
