¨Tumevunja mwiko!¨ Diamond Platnumz addresses Wasafi Festival tour discrimination claims [Interview]

WCB CEO, Diamond Platnumz finally speaks about the discrimination his Wasafi Festival tour has had on fellow bongo artists.

According to him, it might seem easy but planning for the Wasafi Festival tours are nothing easy.

Tight budgets however, cannot afford him to invite homegrown artists from specific regions.

However, he thanks his events sponsors, for their ultimate support that they believe will eventually see them host key music acts in specific regions, within Tanzania.

Plea

Diamond calls out well-established artists to aid the government in their social campaigns and mobilization of key educative programs that are vital.

He additionally calls on sponsors to ensure they involve several artists in their campaigns so that they ensure efficient dissemination of information to the public.

He lauds Wasafi Festival 2019 for ensuring that the tradition of artists not being involved in fellow bongo artists´ events has come to a stop.

According to him, artists should grace different gigs and even avail themselves as stakeholders in some of these events where sponsors might not be available.

The hate

Without unity among bongo artists, envy and hatred grows.

Na mimi jamani mnapokua na shughuli zenu, nialikeni. Tukikaa mbali wenyewe kwa wenyewe ndio tunakua tunachukiana bila sababu. Mashabiki ni wale wale.

Chibu goes on to insist that no artist should focus on another artist´s successes because everyone is a King in their own Kingdom.
