Otile Brown facing allegations of stealing beats for his new track ‘Vibaya’

Kenyan RnB sensation, Otile Brown ushered in the new month with his release ‘Vibaya’ that is now facing copyright issues from Kenyan producer, Makoy.

‘Vibaya’ is a love ballad that features vixen Maddie Jewitt, who has enslaved him with love, labeling her his ‘ideal woman’.

Produced by Vickypondis and directed by Deskatores, the song’s video is unfortunately no longer up.

Copyright claims

This is basing on the recent turn of events where Kenyan producer, Makoy, accused the singer and his producer for preying on his beats without even accrediting him.

Kenyan producer, Makoy

On his Instagram page, Makoy blasted Otile for sampling his beats, through producer, Vickypondis without even paying him a dime.

I’m shocked this guy @otilebrown samples my beats, 2 of them. Now the latest jam #vibaya one of the two beats he produced using this guy Myambo @vickypondis.

Shouting:

Lipia beat upewe acha kusample demo banaa.

Artist, Otile Brown (standing) with producer, Vickypondis (seated)

Makoy, was shocked how Otile, used his beats without his consent and behind closed doors.

The irate Kenyan producer mocked:

@vickypondis_producer @otilebrown, so you guys decided kusample beat yangu hapo blue ink ndio mcheze chini ya maji????????????. Najua io dancehall ilikua hard kusample mkaamua kusample something cheap ????????????????,,,,pending!!!!!!!

Producer Makoy

Makoy, enraged by the move exposed Otile for stealing his beat and making money out of it, leaving him high and dry.

I spend my time in studio making beats to earn. @otilebrown you stole my beat to make money instead of paying for it

And to Otile’s producer, Vickypondis, Makoy declared war on him, stating they had just become enemies.

@vickypondis_producer bana ???? I hate you ujue ivo, io vibe it took me 10 minutes kucreate beat ni yangu tag ni yako.

Pulled down

Producer Makoy went ahead to delete the song’s video from YouTube articulating that it is until he is paid his dues, that Vibaya’s video will be back up.

Vibaya song by @otilebrown is no more on YouTube. Nimeitoa mimi mwenyewe nitairudisha if only my beat is payed for. Afike bei.

Further reiterating to Otile and his producer that there is no way they were going to liaise to earn money from his beats.

Don’t use my vibe to make money. I take time to make beats to get money.

Through his Instastories, Just in Love founder shared the news, promising fans he was working on it.

Vibaya was flagged, working on it????
