The song dubbed Karibia, which is a Swahili word that means ‘come closer’, has been ruling the airwaves since it was came out a few hours ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.

Fena Gitu

I honestly do not know what to make of this track which is the 1oth single off Fena Gitu’s Unleashed album because it is different from her previous releases.

Part of me feels that it lacks the zeal that we have come to know the 29-year-old musician for while at the same time I feel it will grow in me with time.

You see, we are not used to Fena Gitu making such slow songs that seem like love ballads but I have to commend her for trying out a different sound.

That said the lyricism on this jam is on point. The other thing that I really love about Fena Gitu, other than her lovely voice of course, is how she expresses herself in her music.

The beat and instrumentation by Ilogos Music are so impeccable. Although I am not sure that this is the kind of jams that one can dance to, after listening to Karibia I know you’ll agree me that it’s catchy.

I absolutely love the video for this jam. It’s such a masterpiece if you ask me. Everything is on point, from the styling, the scene transitioning and general execution. Enos Olik outdid himself on this one.

Fena Gitu’s new jam dubbed ‘Zing Zong’ is absolutely amazing (Video)

The song titled Zing Zong, which is off her upcoming debut album Unleashed, will make you hit the replay button a couple of times because it’s too lit ladies and gentlemen.

If you have ever doubted Fena Gitu’s musical prowess, you should definitely check out this jam because it affirms her versatility.

Perhaps, she’s one of the most flexible female artists of our time judging by how she can easily switch from singing to rapping and vice versa.

I really love this jam. Apart from the fact that Fena Gitu’s vocals are great, the Afro reggae vibe will leave you asking for more.

Although the video, which was directed by Mike Lolly P, was very simple. I think it still came out well since you don’t expect Fena Gitu to have some vixens twerking in her video, or do you? Put simply, the concept is subtle but dope.

To add to that, I really loved the styling in this video. Millennial like yours truly would say, “Too much drip.” Props to the one and only Brian Babu. He really did a good job.

The beat, which was produced by Ilogos Music, was also on point. As you listen to the song, you won’t resist the urge to nod your head, bust a move or both. Trust me.
