Ama ni katabia? Is Tanzanian singer Darassa a con artist who is out to swindle Kenyan event organizers?

Seems that Kenyans are fed up with how Darassa has been dodging them every time he is set to perform in the country.

It has happened three times in the last two months and I hear together with his Kenyan manager, they usually post posters to advertise he is coming after down payment is made, then when it comes to perform he doesn’t show up.

He didn’t show up at the Blue lounge as expected and neither did he grace X’s millionaires…something that makes many wonder why, yet he claims to love his Kenyan fans.

Fans have however come out to question whether he is a con artist out to get that Kenyan money the easy way or he just not interested in performing in our clubs.

Anyway, speaking to Mzazi yesterday, Darassa claimed that he was having issues with the event organizers who were not ready to meet his demands.

So, who is telling the truth?

Now that he is in the country promoting his music, maybe the Muziki hit maker can explain why he is always disappointing fans.

It is very rare to hear an artiste confess to seeking help from a witchdoctor, but you would be shocked on how many artistes and celebrities visit such dens hoping they would get successful the easy way.

Tanzanian top artiste Darassa has however left many shocked when he confessed to having sought help from a mganga in the past. Unlike most celebrities who seek for success and wealth, his issue had nothing to do with his music career but personal issues that he needed help with.

Speaking during an interview, Darassa admitted to this as he explained that most Swahili people from his community visit witch doctors to have their problems solved.

He however added that even after putting his hopes in the traditional medicine man he could not continue seeing him due to the crazy demands he was making.

This comes a few weeks after rumor had it that Diamond Platnumz had been plotting to finish Darassa’s career. The story trended for weeks but the two artistes avoided the issue to prevent fans from attacking each other on social media.

Our own socialite, Faith Mutua, is one of the celebrities who are known to visit witch doctors for help. Her case was rather different as she shared a photo while at the Mganga’s den but claimed that it was a scene from an upcoming movie that is yet to be released.

Is it me or is Tanzanian rapper Darassa bitter with Diamond Planumz? Well, this remains unclear however word has it that Muziki composed by Darassa was actually meant to take shots at Baba Tiffa.

Darassa is however flying high with this new song that has become a club banger in most East African countries. This song has landed him a couple of interviews on both TV and radio stations.

Speaking to Enewz on EATV just recently Darassa confidently explained the reason why Diamond Platnumz should not call himself Simba.

Not that the name is bad, but the rapper feels that Diamond Platnumz is more much more stronger than a mere lion that can be killed by other animals when it is vulnerable.

“I was clear when I Sang siyo simba, siyo chui siyo mamba because a crocodile is the only strongest animal that lives in water. A lion on the other hand is the king of the jungle (but can be vulnerable) wherelse a leopard is the best hunter in the jungle however you will never find me referring myself with any of these animals. I have something in me that can make you go…. aaaaah”. Darassa concluded.

He went on to add that he does not fear all the animals he mentioned in his latest hit song. What he believes is that he is a man who is ca[able of releasing sensible songs in the struggling music industry.
