Akothee is compelled to go to the police station for refuge (VIDEO)

In a distressing revelation, renowned businesswoman and entertainer Esther Akothee expressed serious concerns about her safety, stating that her life is in danger in Migori County.

Akothee shared a troubling encounter at the Migori County Chief Finance Office, describing a frightening incident of intimidation by unidentified individuals. She recounted being ambushed by assailants when visiting the office and disclosed, “MY LIFE IS IN DANGER ‼️ my life is in danger in Migori County. I didn’t see this coming.”

According to her account, the attackers strategically waited for her, anticipating her exit through the main door. However, Akothee managed to evade them by using an alternative exit. The attackers persisted and attempted to block her escape at the gate.

Expressing her distress, Akothee stated, “If Migori politicians want to kill me, don’t use goons to pass your information, just shoot me.”

To complicate matters, she alleged that county reinforcements arrived but instead of intervening, they appeared to fraternize with the attackers, suggesting a disconcerting level of complicity.

“The county reinforcement came, laughed with them, and left them there, saying they will show me dust in Migori. We then drove directly to the police station, recorded statements, then escorted out of Migori,” she explained.

The incident forced the cancellation of her plans to admit Form One students to schools. Akothee vowed to provide additional details. In November 2023, she had hinted at facing issues with a senior politician in Migori, with speculation revolving around her potential bid for the Woman Representative seat in the 2027 elections.
