Cartoon Comedian Explains Why She Decided To Venture Into Music (Video)

Talented stand-up comedian and content creator Vanessa Akinyi (Cartoon Comedian) left tongues wagging in admiration after taking on music as another career besides comedy. The YouTuber, who doubles up as an actress, dropped her debut song last month, which everyone thought was just meant for comic purposes. But turns out, she’s focused on undertaking this new career. As a matter of fact, Cartoon is set to drop her 2nd single. She hinted this via her Instagram stories where she asked her fans whether she should drop another banger.

Why I Ventured Into Music

According to Cartoon, music has been her passion even when she was doing comedy; and she was ready to unleash it to the public. Speaking in a recent interview, she disclosed;

”It’s coz na feel God alinipea talent. Which is diverse…Nataka ni empower madem, nataka kuwa voice ya waschana… I want to be diverse as possible..”

Before her debut song monikered ‘Kamkora’, she teased fans saying that she is looking to ‘set the pace’ in the industry.

 ”Queen of comedy Africa setting the pace!”

Her song has now garnered over 686K views since it’s release one month ago.
