Jubilee digital strategist Pauline Njoroge describes her ordeal being targeted and arrested by Ruto’s government

Pauline Njoroge, a digital strategist for Jubilee, has revealed the tricks Malindi police used to try and arrest her.

Njoroge claims that the arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday of last week, and that shortly after, detectives from the DCI started looking for her.

She explained how a detective had called her, posing as a banker and giving her secret documents, in a statement that was made public on Thursday.

She was to meet him alone, according to the caller.

“On Friday evening, I received a strange phone call. The caller had identified himself as a person working for a bank. This person claimed that he had some confidential documents that he wanted to give me in Malindi and asked me to go alone. This startled me because I had not posted anywhere that I was at the Coast. So how did he know? Anyway, I decided to ignore.”

On Saturday, a different person claimed to be calling to ask if she provided tour services from Malindi to Mombasa.

“Nduta also received a call on Saturday morning from a person who wanted to know whether she does tours in Mombasa. We discussed these things and decided to carry on with our day.”

She mentioned how they saw a double cabin car parked outside the hotel as soon as they departed to tour the Gedi Ruins, Hells Kitchen, and the first church in Malindi.

Her friend then said that the passengers appeared to be police officers, but the driver of the vehicle dismissed the comment, stating that the passengers could be locals.

The same vehicle drove passed them shortly after they got on the highway, blocked their path, and demanded that they accompany them to the Malindi police station.
