Sad! Rachael Shebesh loses one of her beloved ‘sons’ who sang for President Uhuru at State House (Photos)

Even as she sailed to victory in the recently concluded Jubilee Nominations, which saw her beat off stiff competition and emerge victorious in the heated primaries, the current Nairobi Women’s Representative Rachael Shebesh has been on the ground empowering the youth and ensuring that their voices – quite literally – are heard and that their dreams are achievable too.

From Roysambu to Dagoretti, Dandora to Eastleigh,  Hon. Racheal Shebesh moved around empowering the youth and lifting them up from squalor and even taking them to State House to meet The President Uhuru Kenyatta and even perform for him.

One of the biggest beneficiaries of the Shebesh venture was one Frank the Musician, a talented young man who wowed many and moved judges at one of the many talent searches hosted by the indefatigable City Leader.

Eventually, Frank beat off stiff competition and was awarded hugely by the talent academy after he emerged the winner beating off thousands of contestants.

His voice and mastery at playing guitar won the world over but the poor chap wouldn’t live long to reap from his newfound stardom as he’s passed away.

After his awarding and coronation as one of Jenga Talanta’s biggest beneficiaries, Frank was even taken to State House where he not only sang for and mingled with the President but also enjoyed a sit down with Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta and Hon. Shebesh as one or her proudest moments.

Its not clear what killed the young man but at least his dreams, while he was alive, were not dead and had just started flourishing under Jenga Talanta.

The talent search goes on across Nairobi and we pray that the sad fate of one of the Jenga Talanta’s biggest stars will not befall many of the young souls bursting out with immense talent and great wit.
