Bamboo reveals his lawsuit against Safaricom was a Hail Mary attempt made when he was broke

Former rapper Bamboo has won a nine-year legal battle against telecom giant Safaricom for copyright infringement.

In a ruling by Justice Asenath Nyaboke, Safaricom was found guilty of using three of Bamboo’s songs without his authorization for commercial gain. The songs in question are “Mama Africa” (featuring Akon), “Yes Indeed,” and “Move On” (featuring Camp Mulla).

Bamboo first filed the case in December 2015, alleging that Safaricom had picked up the songs from third parties and placed them on its Skiza platform without his consent. He said that he had never received any payment for the use of his songs, and that Safaricom had made a profit of millions of shillings from them.

Justice Nyaboke found that Safaricom had indeed infringed on Bamboo’s copyright, and awarded him general damages of Sh4.5 million. She also ordered Safaricom to pay Bamboo’s legal fees.

Bamboo said that he was “very happy” with the ruling, and that it was a “win for the music industry.” He said that he hoped the case would set a precedent for other artists who have been the victims of copyright infringement.

“This verdict sends a powerful message about the importance of intellectual property rights,” Bamboo said. “It underscores that no entity, no matter how large, is above the law and that anyone who attempts to profit by stealing or copying the hard work of others will be held accountable.”

Bamboo said that he would use the money from the settlement to continue making music and to support other artists. He also said that he would be donating some of the money to charity.

The case is a significant victory for artists in Kenya, and it is a reminder that copyright law is there to protect their work. It is also a warning to businesses that they cannot simply use other people’s intellectual property without permission.

OG rapper Bamboo says DJ Brownskin is illuminati and gives this proof…

Veteran rapper Bamboo has come out to give his 2 cents on the discussion revolving around under siege entertainer DJ Brownskin who Kenyans have decided is among the lowest of creatures after a video he shot recording his wife’s self deletion attempt and the video eventually found its way to the public domain.

Allegation emerge that DJ Brownskin Fullu Fullu’s wife was biseggsual

Taking to his social media account, he said,

DJ Brownskin video recorded his wife drinking poison and dying right in front of his children. The sad part about this is that it could easily have been averted and Sharon Njeri would still be alive. If you look at this picture, you can see the 666 energy he is channeling in an effort to draw the maximum number of listeners to his show. But when you play with the devil, he takes no prisoners. Single ladies, marrying a man who is not truly born again is risky business! Don’t follow fame follow Jesus!

It should be noted that a few years ago, Bamboo seemed to be off his rocker when he went off on a rant about how he had been to hell and had returned with a testimony of who he saw in hell and how it was… The man says he literally went to hell and returned.

Kibe finally speaks up about DJ Brownskin

Do you agree with him that DJ Brownskin is a member of the Illuminati and his wife might have been some sort of a sacrifice?

We just don’t get Victoria Kimani

If at all there is any Kenyan artist that most of us don’t understand and we don’t even bother to then it’s Victoria Kimani. Well, you could argue that she is not one of us because she is based in Nigeria but she’s really Kenyan.

In my opinion, the Prokoto hitmaker should be one of the most successful artists in this continent (yes, the whole of Africa not just Kenya) since she has a good fan base in both Nigeria and Kenya. Well, I’m not completely sure about the latter but you get my point.

You see, despite coming from Kenya, Victoria Kimani can’t relate to many of us. She makes music for her West African audience so much so that many people think that she comes from that part of the continent.

Victoria Kimani

In Kenya, she’s deemed as a foreign artist which is funny because her brother Bamboo made a mark in the local entertainment scene in the early 2000s with the mega hit Compe. If you are from this era, I’m sure you remember this jam.

For a long time, Victoria has tried to make inroads in the local music industry and I doubt even her latest jam with Hart The Band dubbed Bad Manners will serve to this purpose. In my opinion, she should just make music and just go about her life.

You see, Kenyans are so hard to impress and once they have a certain perception of you it sticks. Most people think that Victoria is a snob and is arrogant so even if she asks people to listen to her music or turn up for a show, they just don’t care. Like I said, we just don’t get her.

Bamboo’s new wife Erica was a witch for seven good years (details)

Just weeks after veteran rapper Bamboo exchanged vows with Ugandan wife Erica Mukisa, he has made a surprising comment about her past that has left many speechless.

Bamboo and Erica exchanged their vows in front of friends and family on Saturday, February 16, in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

In a confession on social media, the rapper said that his wife used to be a witch for seven good years.

“That’s correct. It was her own testimony. Her grandmother, on her paternal side was a powerful sorceress. She initiated Erica into witchcraft when she was just eight years old. For seven years Erica served the powers of darkness. She did not know anything, having been introduced to sorcery at a tender age. She became possessed with evil spirits and was satanic in every possible way you can imagine. Her salvation would later come through her uncle evangelist Patrick Wandera. It’s been nine years since her deliverance but Erica recalls everything like it was yesterday,” he said.

Meeting

Speaking on how the two met, Bamboo said that they met four years ago while he was in Uganda.

“I met her four years ago in Uganda. During one of the ministries I was doing, we were introduced to each other through a mutual friend and fellow gospel hip hop artiste, Tommy Lafam,” he said in an interview.

Former rapper Bamboo weds the love of his life in lavish white wedding (Photos)

Bamboo who is popularly known for his usilete compe hit song released back in 2008 is now a married man.

For years now the rapper has been keeping a low profile when it comes to his private life; and word has it that he even got saved after temporary relocating to Tanzania.

Anyway, having found the perfect lady to settle down with; the rapper together with his family made sure his wedding was kept on the low.

low key white wedding

Judging from the photos shared by the groom and his sister, Victoria Kimani we understand that the wedding was held at a church in Ruiru.

Apart from Victoria Kimani who was present, the Kimani’s family did not invite any celebrities to the special occasion. Well, probably this was to avoid drawing too much unnecessary attention during their son’s special day.

Excited groom

While sharing his wedding photos on social media, Bamboo went on to caption them saying;

“Can words explain how I feel right now? All I can say is, when Jesus says he will do something for you, he does it. He does not lie. Will be posting more pics over the next few days. God is faithful.”
