Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone and Naseeb Abdul Juma popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, are undoubtedly the most successful musicians in East Africa.

Their success in music is also reflected in the expensive lifestyles they lead – the two superstars boast of expensive vehicles and privately owned mansions.

Jose lives in a swanky suburb of Muyenga in Kampala; the storied house has a swimming pool, two sitting rooms and dining areas; servant quarters and several bedrooms.

The ‘Tubonge’ hit maker also owns property in US, Rwanda and Tanzania.

“Those who wish to know how rich I am can go to the US embassy and secure visas then go right ahead and inquire about my property there. They can also go to Rwanda and Tanzania where I have homes,”Jose Chameleone by New Vision in 2013 when he was asked how rich he was.

Diamond’s State House has a color changing swimming pool, gym, a Kes 3.5 million gold-plated bathroom among other luxuries.

Kenyan musicians are now rushing to Tanzania to do business with Diamond Platnumz.  Willy Paul was the first artiste from the 254 to ink a deal with the Tanzanian superstar.

The deal Willy Paul signed with Diamond saw his song ‘I Do’ being sold on Wasafi.com – a music streaming site owned by Diamond.

Bahati has also rushed to Tanzania to ink a similar deal with Diamond, his new song ‘Nikumbushe’ is now available online on Wasafi.com.

Bahati travelled to Dar es Salaam with his girlfriend/prayer partner Diana Marua. He met Diamond and his manager Babu Tale at Wasafi office.

Unlike Willy Paul who was at ease when he met Diamond, Bahati humbled himself before the Tanzanian superstar – just like the way a primary school pupil behaves in the presence of a no nonsense teacher.
