Jackie Maribe hits the gym to get her sexy back after being dragged behind by series of long court battles and jail(photo)

Former Citizen TV news anchor Jackie Maribe is back to the gym after a stressful 2018 that saw her bounce in and out of jail and court.

The Royal Media Services employee is enjoying less pressure and prying eyes now as the case awaits final verdict therefore can enjoy a little privacy.

Citizen TV’s Hassan Mugambi shared a photo of himself together with Kadzoh and Jacque in the gym, and Jackie looks pretty happy in the photo.

Getting her life back

She’s trying to get her life back after the case and it has now become harder than ever to spot her in public.

Maribe returned to work at Citizen TV after the High Court granted her bail following her arrest as a suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani. Maribe has reported back to work as a news editor after the High Court restrained her from news anchoring and reporting until the case is concluded.

Itumbi to Kenyans after Jowi’s passionate hug: I’m okay with Maribe friend-zoning me

Kenyans believe Dennis Itumbi has been seriously friend-zoned by Citizen TV employee Jackie Maribe and will not win her despite all the letters and poems he’s been taking time to write.

Kenyans took social media to mock the State House Secretary of Digital Communication after Jospeh Irungu and Maribe “rekindled” their love and were photographed exchanging a long hug at Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday.

Okay with being friends

Jowi held her for exactly 10 seconds, a thing that has not been happening since the two were accused of murdering Monica Kimani. He also hugged Jacque’s mother, who was standing nearby, for close to a minute.

All this time, Itumbi has been getting only handshakes, which Kenyans believe is a sign he’s deep into the friend zone.

“The poems will continue. When the time comes for marriage, I will take the microphone during the reception and recite a poem. It shall be on FB Live.” said Itumbi on social media after Kenyans trolled him.

In another post, a fan wrote: “My prayer is that Jacque Maribe should someday give Dennis Itumbi a chance to love her properly. It has been a long time and the comrade seems to genuinely love her.”

Itumbi replied with “We are good friends for life. Mimi niko friend zone and I am happy there.”

Joseph Irungu in danger of having a permanently disabled arm according to doctors

Joseph Irungu popularly known as Jowie, urgently requires physiotherapy and not surgery according to a court hearing held yesterday.

According to Benjamin Wabwire, a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon based at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), the 28-year-old suffered nerve injury and now urgently needs a physiotherapy to stimulate nerves in the self-inflicted wound on his left chest or forever have a disabled limb.

“The most critical bit about him is that a part of his limb might end up in permanent problem if joints stiffen in one position. Therapy will be important,” Wabwire told the court.

Injury

Jowie suffered the injury on his arm in September after allegedly shooting himself on the chest while trying to commit suicide after the death of Monica Kimani. Jowie initially told police he sustained the injury after an attack right after dropping Jacque Maribe at her house.

“He had a nerve injury affecting the hand ….our initial plan was to do an MRI…the report is that the nerves are intact…He suffered from “shock wave,” added the doctor.

Mother’s love!! Jackie Maribe’s mum comforts Jowi in court after ‘I’m being tortured in Kamiti’ claim (photo)

Jacque Maribe and Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu appeared before Justice James Wakiaga yet again on Tuesday.

Irungu claimed in court that he was tortured at Kamiti Maximum prison and also needed surgery since the gunshot wound on his left hand is yet to be treated.

Irungu told court he was willing to spend his own cash to treat the arm.

Court proceeding

The Court directed that Irungu be admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital unconditionally or he would be freed on bail to seek medication at a hospital of his choice.

Court: Surely, we cannot hold a man in need of medication. What if he dies in our hands? Is it possible to allow the family to produce a car and prisons provide guard. I order that the accused be admitted at KNH today, whether Gvt owes KNH money or not. No fee should be demanded from the accused. If he is not admitted today, the court will allow him to seek medical treatment at a hospital of his choice. It is so ordered,” Dennis Itumbi later said in a post while giving a recap of how the proceeding went.

After the case, Jackie’s mum was captured in a photo comforting Irungu. The photo has been doing rounds on social media proving truly nothing beats a mother’s love.

‘Judge used most uncouth words’ Jowi pens deep letter to JSC after Judge called him woman eater

Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has come out to bash Justice James Wakiaga for calling him a woman eater.

In a letter to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), Jowie denied ever “eating a woman or any human being at all” and said the definition was uncalled for.

Jowie through his lawyers has come out fighting to shake off the tag “woman eater”.

“Indeed the judge used the most uncouth, derogatory and injudicious language against me as being a male version of a slay queen,” Jowie wrote.

“By describing me as a woman-eater, the judge abused his position and compounded the female gender to be nothing less than items to be eaten which is quite foul, degrading coming from a sitting judge,” he went on.

Punish him

He also accused the judge of robbing him of his innocence by describing him as a “woman eater” and now wants him punished.

“The judge has already taken away my right of innocence until proven guilty, stripped me of my dignity, respect and my right to societal standing. In the words of the judge, I am a hopeless person who depends on women for sex and kills them if I must. In his mind, the judge is already convinced, believes and has pre-empted my guilt, awaiting conviction and sentence,” said Jowie.

“Indeed the judge used the most uncouth, derogatory and injudicious language against me as being a male version of a slay queen. I submit that disciplinary action is taken against him including finding that he is not fit to serve as a judge of the High Court so that a process for his removal be undertaken to rid the Judiciary of personnel such as him who bring the institution into disrepute,”he added

Donald Kipkori: Judge James Wakiaga seems to believe Jowie is guilty and Jackie Maribe innocent

Nairobi Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has shared his sentiments after Jacque Maribe was given bail and Jowi Irungu denied one by High Court Judge James Wakiaga.

According to the judge, Irungu was denied bail because he’s as a male version of a slay queen and has no house to go to a thing that Kipkorir says shows the judge was biased.

“A male version of a slay queen, which for lack of a better word, I’ll call a woman eater. He was living in the house of the second accused. driving the second accused’s car, with no known source of income since 2017 when he provided security for some Jubilee politicians,” said Wakiaga.

Bail

On Twitter, Kipkorir responded to Justice Wakiaga’s ruling insisting he failed the ultimate pillars that make a good judge.

“Have read the full ruling of Justice James Wakiaga. With tremendous deference to him, he went beyond the threshold on rulings for Bail. He seems to believe Jowie Irungu is guilty & Jackie Maribe innocent. A Judge must be Courteous, Wise, Sober & Impartial. The Judge failed all,” he tweeted.

The court’s decision saw Maribe released on KSh 2 million bail while Jowie was denied bail. He will remain in remand ahead of countless trials scheduled for 18th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th and 27th of June 2019.
