Wema Sepetu sparked controversy last December when Swedish-Congolese singer Mohombi visited Tanzania. Rumors ran rife that Wema Sepetu warmed Mohombi’s bed.
Mohombi was in Tanzania to attend Vanessa Mdee’s Listening party. The Tanzanian songbird launched her album ‘Money Mondays’ during the party.
Wema Sepetu was accused of sleeping with Mohombi during his visit to Tanzania. The rumor started when a video of the two surfaced online.
The video showed Mohombi and Wema Sepetu kissing and cuddling amorously. The video also had love emojis which further fueled rumors the two were romantically involved.

Wema Sepetu has since denied claims she bedded Mohombi. The former beauty queen says people were too quick to judge her not knowing Mohombi is her in-law.
“Hivi kwa nini watu ni wepesi wa kuongea mambo? Mohombi ni shemeji yangu, kama watu wanataka kumjua mpenzi wangu watamjua hivi karibuni tu, kwani nimejipanga kumuanika ‘soon’ hivyo waache kuotea,” Wema Sepetu said during an interview with Risasi Jumamosi.
