“Na bado! You will continue trolling us but we’re style icons” Sauti Sol address their fashion sense critics

Kenya’s celebrated afro pop band, Sauti Sol have given Kenyans a run for their time and money when it comes to dress codes.

The boy band has more than once stepped out in ‘crazy’ outfits whether on stage or on a random day.

They started off with skinny jeans that didn’t portray such a good image of them especially as men. Then the dust settled.

Thereafter, they took up mosquito nets that was now way out of question. Netizens have time and again slammed them for their kind of ‘weird’ taste in fashion.

Just the other day, a controversial Willis Chimano unleashed his wide pants that gave fans second thoughts on his sexuality.

Even the late Bob Collymore, fell in love with their craft but felt their fashion sense needs some improvement. In a past interview in 2017, Bob aired:

My list would not be complete without Sauti Sol. These men make me so proud. They take their craft seriously and they are making waves globally. I’d just be happier if they would buy new clothes that don’t have holes in them and, are not so tight.

However, in a recent interview with Mpasho, Bien felt sorry for those who keep criticizing their outfit because they are just comfortable with what they dress in and we rather just embrace it all.

If you thought we will change because you troll us na bado. You will continue trolling us. When we started wearing skinny jeans they called us homosexuals. Right now everyone wears skinny jeans. We set the trend others follow. We’re style icons. Have you ever noticed that people copy our fashion after we rocked it ‘long ago’?
