Sheilla Kwamboka leaves HBR radio after seven years

Popular radio presenter Sheilah Kwamboka has left Homeboyz Radio after working there for seven good years.

Popularly known as Kwmabox, the sassy presenter took to social media to announce her departure on Friday, August, 23, saying that she will always be grateful for HBR giving her a chance.

“After 7 years co hosting afternoon drive show on @HomeboyzRadio, today is my last show on the station. I will miss all my listeners, colleagues, my co hosts who made it all worth it @mikewachira @MrKerryMartin and most importantly @JohnHBR for the opportunity. I am fully grateful,” she posted on Twitter. 

Thankful

Fellow co-host Mike Wachira and Kerry Martin also took to social media to bid her good buy after their last show.

“The sun sets on an amazing era here at HBR. Kwambox leaves a rich legacy of laughter, knowledge, love and light. Kerry Martin and I will carry the mantle and honour you by taking the show to higher heights. May God bless your next steps and be with you always ! Much love,” Tweeted Mike Wachira.

Same company, different brand! Shaffie Weru ditches KISS 100 for Homeboyz radio as programs controller

Radio King, Shaffie Weru joins Homeboyz radio after 14 years at Kiss 100.

The veteran radio presenter kicks starts his days at Homeboyz radio but this time as programs controller.

Homeboyz general manager, Somoina Kimojino welcomes him to his new venture attributing his 14-year wealth of experience on air to the job offer.

He will be able to work with the team to improve our programming, work on creative ideas with the creative team to bring out the culture of HIP HOP and EPL in everything we do.

We give him a warm welcome and look forward to improved station sound and programming to make HBR the no 1. Hip Hop Radio Station in Kenya.

Somoina also joined the Homeboyz franchise just early July from Capital FM, where she held the position of Managing director.

It clocks 2 months since Baba Millan exited his first home, with netizens unassured of his next move.

He formerly co-hosted with Adelle Onyango at KISS FM during the morning breakfast show; now replaced with former NRG´s Kamene and Kibe.

Reports have it that Homeboyz radio majority shares belong to Radio Africa group.

Radio Africa also owns KISS 100, East FM, Classic 105 and Radio Jambo.
