After Wakimani’s plight went viral, Jalang’o sought to inquire what exactly transpired and during their recent interview on Jalango TV, the Kiss 100 presenter vowed to secure Wakimani an admission into Daystar and pay for his 1st year fees.

In the next intake at Daystar, I’ll register you and pay for your whole first year, the rest you will hustle for yourself and pay for it.

Man of his words

A promise that has come to fruition, as yesterday Jalang’o handed the comedian a letter of admission into Daystar and asked him to figure out a course of his choice then tell him the payment details and it would be done.

“Ayieya’s wife wants me to pay KSh 21 million for killing her husband“ Comedian reveals

Comedian Ayieya has been missing in action for 3 years now; and according to him, this is because of the depression he has been battling not forgetting his passion for alcohol.

Well, turns out that on the night Ayieya died…comedian Wakimani was the person behind the wheel!

Being the driver, this meant that Wakimani was responsible for every life in that vehicle on that night; but unfortunately his best Ayieya lost his life after their car was involved in an accident.

Wife demands payment

Losing her husband at the age of 31 was not something the lady had been expecting or was even looking forward to. However her worst nightmare came to life after Ayieya lost his life following a road accident back in 2017!

After his burial, Wakimani says he assumed people understand that Ayieya died after an accident; instead of then blaming him for causing his death!

Favoritism at Ayieya’s funeral

However a week after his burial, Comedian Paul Wakimani says Ayieya’s wife served him with a court letter – demanding for Ksh 21 million as compensation for her hubby’s death.

After the accident, we buried Ayeiya and I thought everyone understood that it was an accident. But after a week or 2, Ayeiya’s wife called me and told me she had my letter and we should meet I take it. I met her on the following day and she served me with a court order indicating that I’m supposed to pay KSh 21 million for killing her husband.

When asked why Ksh 21 million – lawyer representing Ayieya’s  family said;

The lawyer told me that Ayeiya was earning KSh 300,000 every month. So since he was earning 300k and died at 31, he was supposed to be retiring at 55 years old. They did the calculation for the remaining 24 years…I was also asked to pay for the damages. The case is in court.

“I have been drowning in depression and alcohol!” Comedian Wakimani reveals

Comedian Wakimani has been inactive for the past 3 years; and of course there are those who were aware of this and still chose to do nothing about it.

After losing his best friend, Ayieya back in 2017 Wakimani was accused of sacrificing him for fame; and being the one behind the wheel…Ayieya’s family has been demanding Ksh 21 Million to paid by Wakimani who allegedly caused the accident.

Zeddy who happens to be close with Wakimani had earlier revealed that the comedian was struggling with depression. The young mum revealed;

Comedian Zeddy

Wa kimani hayuko pahali pazuri…unakumbuka ile accident yenye Ayieya alikufa? He was the one driving the car and Ayieya’s family wants him to pay them KSH 21 for losing their son. He has been battling with depression since then.

Wakimani speaks

However speaking during an interview with theoriginalpadre254, Wakimani opened up about his current state; and surprisingly Zeddy has been right all along.

Turns out that Wakimani has been fighting his depression using alcohol and things have not been so easy.

I have been going through depression for the last 3 years and it hasn’t been an easy road for me. When I was going through depression it all started at churchill show and today i want to let it go from my heart so that i can grow.

He went on to add;

While on Churchill show at some point I felt that we were falling out coz of one or two things. First, I was called at 2 AM and told to go for a show in Nakuru. When I got there, the creative director (Victor Ber) asked me ‘Umecome kufanya nini hapa na tumetoka na wasanii Nairobi?

In his confession about drowning in alcohol, Wakimani went on to add;

I got depressed and used to drink a lot and i was drowning every day to the level that no one could understand me…I was trying to pick myself up and move on but those guys (at Churchill show) were not understanding what i was doing in my life
