Panic after Gretsa University speaks of Joho’s controversial degree shortly after Matiangi’s directive. Will he be deregistered??

Panic has engulfed the whole country and this after Matiangi released an audit that might as well throw the whole of Kenya’s University’s education in total delirium.

The audit which was released yesterday, Thursday, 16th Feb exposed the rot in universities where students and institutions conspire to go round the set standards of quality.

As part of the remedial action and to restore credibility to the country’s higher education system, many degrees are set to be recalled. To further stop the rot, the report has outlined serious measures including scrapping of the school-based programmes. This is a blow to thousands of teachers who attend university classes during school holidays.

“All academic programmes under school-based programme or any other related names are stopped forthwith. Students on school based mode shall be required to continue training on part-time basis,” reads the report.

And not only that, all executive degrees have been suspended and individuals who graduated from such programmes will have their papers recalled.

Now in the midst of this conundrum lays Joho whose University degree has always been the subject of discussion. Will he also get deregistered? His University, Gretsa has finally spoken and indeed certified that he’s fully qualified.

He was on a long-distance programme since 2014 and graduated having satisfied the board of examiners and University senate,” the vice chancellor Kuria Thuo told the Star.

With that I guess we can all take a walk; no story here!

Matiangi fever slowly taking effect! This employer only wants candidates who did KCSE under Matiangi’s Tenure

Tough times lay ahead for all job seekers as the Matiangi fever slowly takes effect. It started off with the parents and it has since made its way to employers.

According to a newspaper ad which is doing rounds online, a security company is looking for 50 recruits and is very specific as to whom they are interested in- only people who attained a D+ under Matiangi’s tenure.

Now there is reason to worry if you are unemployed.

Matiangi caused a stir for the better of part of last year after he unveiled the KCSE results which were completely out of the norm throwing everyone into a jumble. For the first time, KCSE results were released before the dawn o f a new year and they only had 141 candidates attaining an A as opposed to previous years where A’s were in a multitude of hundreds.

This caused uproar among parents and other education stakeholders with KNUT calling for a remarking of the examinations citing massive irregularities.

Here is the ad that will make us start viewing education in a totally different light:

This is what Matiangi is planning to do next that is sending chills down peoples spines

Education CS Fred Matiangi is out on the prowl again and this sending chills down people’s spines.

His main focus this time is Kenyan Universities in an exercise sent to commence on the 23rd of January to continue for a week up to the 3rd of February.

Through the Commission for University Education (CUE), he is seeking to clean up universities by commissioning an audit report with the report set to be submitted before the end of January.

“The commission wishes to inform the public that it is undertaking a quality audit inspection of all universities (public and private) authorized to operate in Kenya,” said CUE.

Some of the areas set to be audited include: admission requirements to degree programmes, quality and integrity of examinations, dissertations, and evidence of accredited programmes.

It will also seek to de-ethnize the academic and non-academic staff in the universities and check on the utilization on funds allocated for research and library resources.

Fred matiangi has been in the headlines for the recent past after what has been as a thorough clean up of the Education system with the notable results being the recently released KCSE exams.

He’s loved and loathed in equal measure but one thing we can attest to is that Matiangi has rattled this country…hard!

It feels like 2003 all over again when the Late Michuki entered the Transport ministry with eyes set on revolutionizing the matatu sector. He was keen on making a turn around and everyone was skeptical as to what he intended to do. We all thought he would fail up until he did it leaving everything and everyone in disarray.

It’s now Matiangi’s turn to take the crown and so far so good. But is it? Media personality Caroline Mutoko thinks absolutely not!  She still feels Matiangi hasn’t quite gotten it right as there are few screws not fixed yet- sadly they are showing.

She equates the education system to a car and the only thing Matiagi has done is take to the garage for a wash where it has gotten squeaky clean. Now he needs embark on the process of diagnostics and that’s where the real work is- just how hard is it to please Caroline?

Anyway, according to her, he needs to now remove that fake spare part which was initially consuming all the fuel and probably add a tracker which will now monitor the car movements and then maybe just maybe; he might just get it right.

Here she is talking matters education:

Jalango’s Daughter Joined Class one today and this is the message he had for Matiangi

It started off with exam cartels, it soon hit students and now celebrities are slowly towing the line; I’m talking about the Matiangi fever.

In the front line is non other but radio personality Jalang’o who admitted his daughter to class one today and couldn’t help but seek some sympathy from the education CS; in a jokingly way though through an instagram post.

Matiangi has become the envy of many having turned around Kenya’s education sector in a way never seen before. This mostly became evident in the recently announced KCSE exams which show only 141 students attain at A as opposed to more than 2000 the previous year.

This Viral Video of Highschool boys daggering a desk might just explain why they performed terribly in KCSE

Yesterday Education CS Fred Matiangi released the 2016 KCSE results much to the shock of many.

In the history of Kenya, KCSE results have never been released in December and matiangi’s continued transformation of the educational sector is receiving much appreciation from all Kenyans across the board.

Now this is not the only shocking thing that came with the release of the results, only 141 candidates scored grade A countrywide, representing a sharp decline from last year when 2,685 candidates scored the same grade.

And out of the top 20 best performers, only 4 were boys and one Joe Muchiri seems to have an explanation as to why this happened.

It’s in this video he shared on his instagram:
