K24 top news anchor, Anjlee Gadhvi fought grueling battles after her unceasing battle with cancer that took her away from the world in the most saddening of states.
The Cancer warrior had in 2017 jotted a moving poem to her ally and confidant, Janet Kanini Ikua, while they were both battling the harsh illness.
Janet passed on after losing her battle to cancer and this split Anjlee in the most painful of ways.
So Anjlee decided to pen her a poem, on hearing of Janet´s untimely demise.

Have been under the weather for a while. Coping with the idea of letting go and having less expectations. Came across these pics taken by the amazing @kadogoian and @winnie.odande as I played dress up while we were shooting for the #cancerlie feature earlier this year. Hoping and praying 2020 brings renewed hope.
As Kenyans and the world at large continue to mourn the brave, kind-hearted and highly-spirited media personality, a section sought to unearth the memories she had left behind.
Among them is Anjlee´s tribute poem to Janet Kanini.
Sunday, the 12th of January 2020, Kenyans unearthed a YouTube video of Anjlee paying tribute to her bosom friend, Janet.
Posing unanswered questions, questioning life´s events and celebrating a fellow warrior, the poem goes:
It now clocks two years since the death of Janet and a dear Anjlee is no longer with us too.
The two are celebrated cancer warriors who despite the storm and hardships, braved through the illness, holding hands.
Kenya continues to remember them as two powerhouses in the media scene.
May they both dance with the angels.
