Meet catwalk trainer Denis Njeri whose ‘unmanly job’ pays better than most salaried professions

There is nothing inspiring about a man whose work is to train people how to walk and dress. But wait until you get the picture of Denis Njeri’s lifestyle is when you will learn to appreciate what he does for a living.

Denis steered clear of fancy professions like medicine, engineering etc to major in fashion. He is an image consultant and fashion choreographer (catwalk trainer).

Denis pursued a degree in Community Development at Kenyatta University. He obtained master’s degree in Image Development at the University of Singapore.

Remember Miss Langata beauty pageant which was made popular by Ruth Kamande who stabbed her boyfriend 22 times? Denis is the brainchild of that prison beauty pageant.

County governments

Denis Njeri is currently working with three county governments as an image consultant; Laikipia, Murang’a and Nyandarua county governments.

“My job is to create a winning image. To create a powerful first impression that is key to success in personal, professional, corporate and social life. If what you think is not projected right, it leaves a poor impression on people and clients, thus affecting what they think of you. Image is more than physical appearance,” says Denis Njeri.
