Depression made me go to a wedding in sleepers- Betty Bayo screams

Kenyan gospel artiste Betty Bayo has come out to reveal more details about the time she was fighting depression.

Speaking o her Youtube channel, Betty, who was married to controversial pastor Kanyari, said that she really struggled with depression but didn’t reveal exactly why she was in that state.

‘Someone might ask if I have ever been depressed and I would say, yes I have. I knew I was depressed after I attended a wedding only to realize that I had worn slippers. I had not combed my hair nor had I applied lotion on myself,” she said.

She further went on to add that she managed to fight it in the long run and after speaking about it and getting help.

“In my mind, I knew that before I left home I had planned on attending a wedding but I did not plan on attending while looking unkempt. Thankfully I overcame my depression, with time I will open up on what drove me there in the first place and how I overcame that phase,” she added.

Diana Marua and Bahati now have two kids. The couple has been together now for almost five years and things look rosy as ever.

Diana has a new Youtube Channel that will see her speak about her life and the duties that come with being a parent of two kids.

In the first episode, the singer confessed how she met Bahati and made the first move. According to Diana, she’s the one who approached Bahati and made him fall in love with her.

They connected when Bahati was looking for video vixen and marua seized the moment.

Dumped

Also in an interview with True Love Magazine a while back, Diana shared the same story saying she had just dumped her boyfriend when they met with Bahati.

“Bahati and I started off as friends. We met in 2016 when he was looking for a video vixen for his hit song mapenzi. I remember I was awestruck. I even took selfies for my Instagram followers. I was seeing someone when we met but on the day of the video shoot, I found him cheating inside his car. The tears you see in the video are real heartbreak tears,” she told True Love Magazine

Diana Marua has opened up about her up bringing saying that they were never happy when their father was around.

Speaking in the latest edition of True Love Magazine where she was featured, Marua said her father was very violent, something that left the whole family scared.

Her mother used to be tormented by this to a point where she had to walk away.

“My father was extremely violent. I don’t think my mom was ever happy. I remember she used to cry a lot. The home environment was tough.  I remember one time he came home late and angry and started raining blows on my mom while she was breastfeeding my younger sister. I was happy for her when she left.” she said.

Bitter

According to Marua, her father was a bitter man and he always released his frustrations on them.

“Looking back, I think my dad was bitter. If he had problems at work, he would come home at take out his anger on us.” she added.
