Rapper Juliani releases book

Rapper Juliani has released a new book dubbed “The Street is my Pulpit-Hip hop and Christianity in Kenya”.

The book is about his rise to fame and how he has managed to balance hip hop and Christianity.

On social media, he announced the book with a long caption of how the book came about.

Here is what he said:

We all have our first of something.

Mine as a musician, i can remember the first time i recorded a song. I can smell and see the studio and even feel the atmosphere in the room then.

My first, when i heard my song on radio it was on metro fm then played by Dan oloo. I couldn’t sleep that night.

My First, when i got a call from UK @emmanueljal signed me to his label Gatwitch record.

My first, when i played a concert and i could feel the venue well appreciative of my talent.

My first, when i saw my face on TV and i could walk my neighbourhood, chest out with slippers on.

My first, when i a saw my face on a billboard.

My first, when i filled out a concert with 5000 people.

My first, when i signed a deal with a corporate and took my first flight.

I can go on and on but today i will introduce you to a first book that was about my music & its perspective in the social space.

The street is my pulpit is a wide look at christianity in Kenya through the eyes of Prof. Mwenda ntarangwi (Commission Secretary & CEO
Commission for University Education) & ofcourse guided by my lyrics and songs over the years.

Brenda Wairimu opens up on Juliani meeting her dad

We know how Juliani and Brenda Wairimu met, how Juliani proposed and how their relationship has fared over the years.

Though we know so much about the couple, we have never known how they two met each other parents. Wairimu has now shed some light on that sharing that Juliani met her parents just before they passed.

Met differently

Brenda is an orphan after her mum passed on 2012 and her dad on 2015 after kidney failure.

“Actually we meet my dad a different day from when he met my mum. He met my dad when I had bought my dad shoes and I remember I was taking them to him. I used to have this hustle of ‘I don’t know how i would get all the way from Thika road where he used to stay to those sides of Mombasa road’. So Juliani actually took me. They meet and had a long chat. I have no idea what they talked about to date.”

She also said that Juliani met her mum when he visited her in Mombasa.

Juliani roasted after defending Eric Omondi’s alarming video

Kenyans know nothing about chills and singer Juliani has now seen this savage side. The singer happened to share a tweet congratulating and defending Eric Omondi for his confidence to swim naked in a river somewhere in Lodwar.

According to Juliani this was a sign of freedom and a precious moment from the games people used to play back in the village.

This however took many by suprise since the singer was overlooking the fact that Eric Omondi was swimming totally naked with a bunch of minors.

KoT throws shade

Well apart from telling the singer off; KoT was also pretty keen to correct Juliani for his ‘poor English’ after misspelling conquering and instead writing concurring. Below are some of the comments.
