Former ‘Redykyulass’ Comedian Nyambane Dismissed From His Government Role

Fomer ‘Ridiculous’ Jester ‘Nyambane’, better known as Walter Mong’are has been dismissed from his position as the Director of Programmes at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs by Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’Oei.

In a statement by the secretary on X, he declared that any authority by Walter Mong’are has been dismissed.

“This is to inform that Mr. Walter Onchonga Mongáre, Director of Programmes (Advocacy & Outreach) is no longer authorized to act in any capacity on behalf of the State Department or myself.

“This is therefore to instruct you to refrain, with immediate effect, from any official interactions and/or engagement with Mr. Mongáre,” said the memo.

His exit begs the issue of what conditions led to his termination from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Nyambane had expressed interest in electoral politics prior to his appointment and was planning to run for president in the general elections of 2022.

Nyambane’s clearance to run for the top seat was initially granted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), but it was later revoked due to issues with his academic record.

Nyambane has previously served in a number of positions in the government, such as the Governor of Nairobi County and the State House.

Prior to that, he was a comedian who gained recognition during his time with the comedy ensemble Redykyulass and a radio personality who worked for Kiss 100.

Huddah undress Nyambane: Employing Chipukeezy doesn’t mean you have employed the youth

Socialite Huddah Monroe is currently abroad and has been seeing all the mistakes in Kenya and Africa in general.

The socialite first complained of how Kenyans are never united and can’t support your business. She also complained that people back home are greedy and the government does everything in it’s power to ensure the youth don’t grow.

Not happy

Huddah has now switched her focus to deputy director in youth programs presidency and cabinet affairs office Walter Mongare Nyambane.

According to Huddah, Nyambane hasn’t done much for the youth and he thinks because he gave Chipukeezy a job, the youths will be okay.

Chipukeezy seats in the Nacada board (National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse).

“Employing Chipukeezy doesn’t mean you have catered for all the youths in Kenya. Mr Nyambane running youth affairs still shocks me,” posted Huddah.

Nyambane chased away by angry crowd after refusing to imitate former President Moi

While fans were dying to hear the imitation of icon voice of former President Daniel Torotich Arap Moi, former comedian Walter Mongare known to many as Nyambane was not willing to stage another Moi performance as he has done many years before.

We all know Nyambane is the ‘official Moi imitator’ and fans always enjoy his performance.

But during a Churchill recording on Moi Day, an angry crowd was forced to boo the comedian out of the building after he refused to do his normal performance of imitating the former president.

No today

He was called on stage for the performance but he declined saying that he didn’t want to make fun of Moi. He wanted him to rest well during in his retirement.

“Out of respect for the retired president, who today is not as energetic as he was nearly two decades ago, I choose not to imitate or make fun of him,” he said annoying the crowd in turn.

Nyambane, who is the liaison officer for the youth in Jubilee Party, was forced to leave the venue after the crowd continued booing for almost 30 minutes  after he said NO to their plea.

“I was not a second wife, I was a mistress,”

According to Linda she was never hidden away from the comedians wife and the two knew each other with time. However, her relationship with Nyambane never got to the point where she could call herself his second wife.

“She (Nyambane’s wife) was okay with it. People presume to know a lot about what happened, and that’s another thing, I’ve sat at a table where everyone discussed me, without knowing I was there. I didn’t subscribe to all that scrutiny, I just sang, but I’m okay with it. It’s part of the package.”

Why the life of a mistress?

Unlike most women who chase other women’s husbands for money or revenge, Linda Muthama says it just happened and that how she ended up with him.

“Life happened. It all just happened. It wasn’t a scheme or a plan or a ploy, it just happened.”

Getting out of the relationship was however a struggle as she was attached to the guy. With time she however moved on and is now at peace.
