Gospel kid, Peter Blessing has been trending for the past one week, basically because his boss, Bahati saw him locked up in police cells before his controversial release.

However, despite the pain and hurt, Peter Blessing, revealed that life in prison was a new, yet life-changing experience for him.

Speaking to Mpasho after his release, the youthful singer shared:

I was arrested on Thursday (16th Jan 2020) and came out on Sunday (19th Jan 2020) for allegedly owing Bahati Ksh 2,039,000 Million. That was my first time but you know I am a man so I had to bear it.

Speaking of revenge:

It hurt me so badly considering it was my first time in jail. If I was a bad person, I would have come out and taken my revenge. But there is no need for that. The truth will prevail.

However, it got interesting when the singer narrated his life in the cells, with other prisoners.

That place is for everyone you sleep on the floor but such is life. It really hurt me a lot and it made me question why someone would want to do that to me. I do not even want to think about it.

Fortunately for Peter Blessing, the prisoners were welcoming enough and loved him because of his humility and his music.

The prisoners were very friendly and we were even chatting. They were telling me that if I ever became famous they would support my music and pray for me to be better. They loved me a lot because they did not think I would stay in the cells for that long.

Funny enough, the same Bahati visited him in the cells, trying to retrieve as much information as he sought.

I was eating food being brought by my visitors. Bahati was also coming to visit, I would find him there and we would talk a bit. He was thinking that people had coerced me to leave EMB but I thought about leaving EMB almost 10 times. I am just trying to protect my future. People disagree and fight that is why I am not taking it personally.

The gospel industry is no longer what it used to be! After Willy Paul decided to shift from gospel to secular; fans called him out and bashed him – but at least he is no longer trying to live a lie!

Bahati on the other hand continues to insist that his mission in the gospel industry is to spread the gospel and help the less fortunate; but controversial stories can’t stop following him everywhere he goes.

He is currently to have gotten Peter Blessing arrested for allegedly breaching his 20 year contract to EMB. According to reports, Peter Blessing wanted out since he was not making enough at Bahati’s company, but seems like Baba Heaven had other plans.

Word has it that Bahati had Peter Blessing arrested for 3 days before his release. When called by Mpasho to get his side of the story; Bahati seemed angered by blogs spreading his stories on social media.

He went on to bash the popular tabloid saying;

This is not the first time Bahati is using the police to handle his problems!

EMB signee, Peter Blessing opened up on leaving the Bahati-owned record label, that drew a rift between the two singers.

Having just been signed in, in July 2019, the young talent believed it was time for him to seek new ventures based on life´s revelations at the time.

The 20-year old who spent 3 nights on the cold floors of the police cells, was accused of illegally acquiring Ksh 2 Million from Bahati, which he denied upfront.

However, soon after his release, Peter Blessing sought to clarify on his reasons to leave the label, stating:

In life, everyone has their own plans and God guides us sometimes. I felt it was God´s time for me to move so I had no ill-intentions. I wanted to go and struggle on my own.

According to him:

I love seeing myself making it in life. Over a certain period of time, many other issues came up. I used to call my mum and we could not communicate properly. There is also a time I had been told (by Bahati) to go and not come back.

So based on his judgement, Peter Blessing believed:

Maybe God wanted me to move. Things were just happening and I could not understand them. I cannot fully blame Bahati or Weezdom. All I am hoping is things will be okay, moving forward.
