Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee is not shy to admit that she is a college dropout.
Unlike many who ditch school out of their own will, Vanessa Mdee was actually forced to stop pursuing her college degree due to lack of school fees after her dad passed on.
Luckily after leaving Catholic University of Eastern Africa(CUEA); Vanessa Mdee landed a job with MTV Africa where she became the first Tanzanian MTV VJ which since contributed to her success in the media industry.

Full circle moment for me; I dropped out of college when Dad died to pursue my career at MTV AFRICA (we couldn’t afford it anymore).
