Akothee’s first born daughter, Vesha Okello celebrated her 24th birthday on 11th, June. And just as expected, her birthday party was a luxurious one. Even though Akothee was not present, her daughters have proved to be gurus when it comes to putting up a party. From the venue, to the cake, to the set-up.
On Vesha’s D-day, Akothee wished her daughter Vesha Okello a happy birthday with some piece of advice; adding by congratulating her for her tremendous achievements.

Breaking the news, Akothee proudly yet memorably took fans back to how it all started.
From several primary schools to her Secondary education at Moi Girls school then eventually to Strathmore, Akothee reveals;
“In all these schools, I was never sermoned to come due for my child’s misbehavior. Amidst my struggle, pain & hustle, my children gave me the easiest time for parenting.”

“The journey has not been easy, from draining my accounts to zero just to see you succeed. It’s because of you that I never settled in Europe or diaspora,” she continues.
“For the four years of Vesha’s University, I have never set foot in Strathmore University, I don’t even know how it looks like nor it’s bank details. I transfer school fee to my children’s accounts and they can choose to pay school fee or spend the money. It’s none of my business,” Akothee affirms.

But clarified that away from the cameras, she is a tough disciplinarian and a no-nonsense mother to her 5 kids.
“I had so much problems in my life that I could not afford to police whether Vesha is in school or in a man’s house. But I would call, follow up, show up in their hostel without permission just to let them know, the freedom is also monitored,” she added.

Today, despite what her journey looks like, she looks back and proudly states;
“The only achievement I have is educating my children and giving them the best. I sold my soul to see my children grow and get the best!”
Now, it is time to celebrate as Vesha’s graduation party goes down on December 2, 2020 at Kenya’s high end hotel Kempinski in an all-white event.

Sometimes parents are the same people that push their children into depression at a young age! Well, a few years ago Akothee’s daughter battled the same problem after he parents separated with no explanations
Speaking to Massawe Japanni during a recent interview, Vesha opened up revealing how her parents separated following a small argument back when she was in class 4.

My parents separated when I was in class four. I could not understand why they had to break up. One day they were arguing and I locked them up in a room and told them I would not open until they reconciled. I used to see on TV that divorced parents could still work out, so I didn’t understand why mine were not making things work.
So apparently after the argument, her hot headed mum decided to park up and leave. For 2 months Akothee did not communicate with anyone back at home nor did she ask about the kids!
My mum left and never communicated at all, no one knew where she was. We did not hear from her for like two months, my dad then left us with his mother and went to look for a job,”
Challenges
Of course there is no love like a mother’s love; and after leaving her children behind; they now started tasting the bitter life thanks to relatives who cared less!
According to Vesha at some point she even started feeling like an orphan thanks to the way she was being treated!
I used to feel like an orphan. I would mop the house and an uncle of mine would come with muddy shoes and dirt the house. So I had to mop again. She then sent my aunt Cebbie to come and pick us up and we joined her (mum) in Nairobi.

In the well detailed interview, Vesha went on to reveal that after all these years; her dad has never come out clean on why he separated from their mum, Akothee.
I felt like I could not forgive him but my mum kept telling me that he was still my dad and I had to forgive him. At the time I felt like he was the problem. All this time he never explained why they were arguing in front of us. To date, he has never explained why the two divorced
But right now we are very good friends. We talk and he advises me, now that I’m grown up I understand things better.”
After buying her eldest daughter Vesha Okello a car on her 18th birthday, Akothee decided to do something different for her firstborn when she turned 21.
The songbird dug deep into her pocket to make her daughter’s birthday memorable. She also gave her daughter 40% shareholding of Akothee Safaris as her birthday present.
Vesha Okello has since taken up her new role as a director at Akothee Safaris. The 21-year-old arrived at work in company of her mother.

Akothee couldn’t hide her joy seeing her daughter work at her company. The mother of five asked Vesha to pay school fees for her younger sibling.

Haa now I can travel the world , please pay @rue.baby school fee first even before the beginning of the next semester, sitaki kesi katasi @akotheesafaris,” wrote Akothee.
Akothee’s dressing code and dancing style during her concert in London sparked uproar. The mother of five thrilled fans with her raunchy dances that included lifting one of her legs up high while wearing a body suit.
Arbiters of moral correctness were quick to sound the alarm after Akothee paraded her nether regions during her performance at Wembley stadium.

Artists wear different costumes for different audience
Akothee’s firstborn daughter Vesha Okello doesn’t see anything wrong with her mother’s dressing during her show in London. Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Vesha explained that artists dress according to the audience they are performing to.

“My mum has been the best role model so if someone else dislike that that’s not their cup of tea, well and good. About her show in London, I don’t see anything wrong in what she wore. As an artiste we wear different costumes for different audience. These are people in the western countries, as an artiste you have to understand what your crowd wants and give it to them. For my mum, I think she sought out her audience and understood what they wanted and dressed according to their expectations,” said Vesha.
Akothee bought all her daughters cars on their 18th birthdays. This time round the mother of five has decided to do something different for her firstborn who turned 21.
