Simphiwe Ngema is not only sticking to acting, but is now spreading her wings to music.

After losing her husband Dumi Masilela in August 2017, she mastered strength and even released a posthumous album.

At the time, Simphiwe explained why she did it.

Today will see Simphiwe Ngema release the album of her late husband, Dumi Masilela. It is titled Eternal Crush.

Dumi recorded the music while he was still alive, but only got a chance to release one track, Shona Phansi. In August, Simphiwe released another single, Uphushiwe, a song written for her after they married in May 2017.

The album Eternal Crush features 10 unheard songs.

“He was still recording more music and deciding which songs he should release first when he died. I knew he was going to release Uphushiwe first and then an album. I just followed his plan,”Simphiwe said.

“All the songs have a special meaning for me because I was present when he wrote them. I know what he was going through and what he was feeling when he wrote every song. We would sit and discuss the music before and after recording, and I just want everyone to hear his talent. I want to share him with his friends and fans,” she explained.

The album is all about love, hence the title.

“He was my Eternal crush and I was his. That is what we called each other. We loved each other as though we had just first met. We still had butterflies in our tummies every single day and I know wherever he is, he is happy with the title,” Simphiwe added.

“The brand Eternal Crush is about celebrating love, relationships, family, and friends. Life is about love and embracing pain and living your truth.”

Actress Simphiwe Ngema celebrated reaching a milestone on Instagram.

She reached 1 million followers on her social media and thus thanked her fans and followers for their support.

Simphiwe wrote: “Today, I am grateful to all the people that have supported me. You guys love me for me. You don’t know what I own, you just know me.”

She ended the post by wishing her fans happiness.

Simphiwe Ngema has announced the release date of her late husband Dumi Masilela’s album.

She did this on Instagram where she posted the Album’s cover art.

Her caption reads: “Dumi Masilela, Eternal Crush”.

It goes on to read: “Album out 7th December 2018.”

The songs on the album include Dumi’s popular song, Shona Phansi.

Simphiwe Ngema took to the beach for a photo shoot that clearly showed off her body.

She was in a black bikini with a black mesh cover up. In the photos, she is running her hands through her wavy hair while striking a few provocative poses.

In one of the photos, Simphiwe wrote: “Remembering who I am saved my life.”

In yet another, she wrote: “I will not die while I’m still alive.”

Simphiwe Ngema has made a major decision in coming to terms with her husband’s death.

She has decided to remove her wedding ring.

Taking to social media to share her decision, Simphiwe wrote: “We have a love-hate relationship, sometimes I look at you and I smile. Sometimes I look at you and my heart bleeds. It’s almost time to let you go and the thought of living without you makes me anxious but holding on to you is more painful. I promise to keep you safe and to one day give you to the woman who will be Kgosi’s heartkeeper. I will love you, forever and always.”

It is about a year since Simphiwe Ngema lost her husband Dumi Masilela in a hijacking.

She has found comfort in knowing that her husband lived a full life while still alive.

Simphiwe opened up about how she believes her husband continues to inspire her. This was on Trending SA.

“The one thing that people didn’t know is that, although he passed away at 29, he lived a full life. Dumi was very talented and he was good at everything, he played all the instruments. I thought I was talented until I met Dumi. He was a professional soccer player. He was able to use all his talents on professional platforms.  How many people can say that? So for me, he really really lived and he will forever remain an inspiration to me,” she said.

Simphiwe is currently working on a book in tribute to Dumi.

“I’m writing about my experience, my process of healing. I hope that one day it will heal somebody else,” said Simphiwe.

Simphiwe Ngema like many ladies, suffer from acne. She is however on a journey in seeking treatment for the condition.

Simphiwe is currently undergoing skin treatment at Dermaquest South Africa.
